Hmm, I do need to plant some evergreens this fall along the woodline, hope that helps. I have seen different warblers here in Missouri and in the other 8 states I've lived in, I just haven't seen my childhood favorite until your picture.( and it IS in the state/region/climate area... that I'm in! Yipieee

Angele, if the photo at the top of this thread is the one that came out the worst, well wow, you have great photos! I love that photo. My worst would either be a complete blur, a headless blur, or worse, a picture of a bunch of dead leaves that I thought was a bird!

Absolutely fantastic pictures everyone! I love the Flickers, and the Brown Thrashers! Those are hard to get b/c so shy. The Bluebirds! Oh and that Yellow Warbler, WOW!

I think I may have broken my camera or at least the auto focus. I can't seem to get a good pic even when the birds pose for me! This is as close as I got today. I think this cardinal is a very nervous fledgling.

Love your cardinal, Elphaba - such a worried little expression! All the photos today are great - I went out this evening to see what I could find.

Dellrose - I want your camera!

A rose breasted grosbeak - first I have seen on this new property.

Now I'm blushing Elphaba, I was just speaking about that mornings photos, all came out in focus except for the Grosbeak. It seems every shot I take of a House Finch comes out so crisp but when I see a new bird I must get excited and shake the camera. Believe me I have more than my fair share of clunkers and some of those clunkers I am very fond of and then again sometimes I am very fond of the delete key. :-)

Loving all the birds everyone is sharing.

This Tricolor is very late in building its nest. The other Tricolor's are feeding chicks. Perhaps it lost its first hatchlings.

I took this shot in the morning and the light just made it look a little surreal. I did no color adjusting on it.

I Heard some sad news last night from my sister down the shore. one of the 2 nesting Ospreys were killed probably from a passing truck on the road right near their nest.

You are all so busy still, my birds are scarce now they're nesting. I'm still watching and enjoying all yours though!

I got a Mistle Thrush today, it had it's eye on me and while I was checking the pics it disappeared, lol, should have just taken them and I might have got it in flight. They are so big, their legs always look too small!
