I found this information online that may be helpful to "pokeweed" owners. I am pretty sure that what I have growing is variegated pokeweed (Phytolacca americana ‘Silberstein’). The image doesn't show the details of the leaves very well, but they are definitely variegated. Hope this helps!

Pokeweed Information
That sure looks like pokeweed to me. We've got loads of nonvariegated pokeweed growing wild at the edge of our woods. The birds love the berries in the fall. Your gorgeous variegated variety would look great in the mix. Did you plant it on purpose or did it show up on its own?
It showed up on it's own. It's as if it just appeared overnight. It is growing at the edge of the woods where we sometimes dump cuttings and other things from our garden. It has beautiful leaves so I thought it may be something that we pulled by mistake, but so far, Pokeweed is what it looks like. I'm keepng an eye on it to see if it blooms...
