Is this a species of honeysuckle?
It almost looks like Trumpet vine to me, though I've never seen one with so many flowers on it at once. You have the most beautiful plants to ID! I think you may have better luck getting answers to this on Plant Identification. I don't think this is a houseplant. Good luck!

Hi Chris!
I posted this on the wrong forum. It is an outdoor plant!!!! But thanks for your comments. I'm very lucky because although I live in an apartment [huge] we have a shared garden at the front and back of the building but the the other two residents are not interested in gardening and are delighted to let me have a free hand. Our apartment has an enormous balcony running the length of the building and a smaller one plus two conservatories!!! I'm in paradise!!!
Wow...you do have a great set up for growing a beautiful "garden". My favorite part of this website is hearing from people all over the world. Even within the US some of have completely different growing conditions. And, of course, I always want what I cannot have!
Chris
Wow! What a beautiful vine! It might be Bignononia: http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/58823/ I would love to see a photo when those blooms open!
