All my life I thought of the spider plant as a houseplant but here in zone 9 where I've moved I see LOTS of neighbors having it in their landscape. I guess it fairs well in sun or shade, or so it seems.
Anyone have an opinion on using this in lu of some other type of grassy plant?
Spider Plant in the landscape?
I have quite a few and they thrive in the shade with lots of water.
I had several at my old house, some were in pretty much full shade, while others were in part sun. Mine got just an average amount of water and still did fine. They will spread themselves around a bit, mine made baby spiders pretty often so if you don't want it to spread you'll have to keep an eye on those.
Thank you both!
