Hi.
I'm new to this site and am enjoying all the great information. I need a little help with my landscaping and thank everyone in advance for any help.
I live in Zone 9a. I am trying to achieve a tropical look to my backyard with palms, cycads and containered tropicals. I have a 50 foot long by 6' wide strip of land that is located between my pool deck and privacy fence. I'm looking for a lush shrub or palm that can provide a thick growing screen in this area. I receive direct sunlight here most of the day. I've considered sugar palms with a mix of marginata(sp), bromeliads, and other small flowering plants to be placed in front of the palms or whichever screen type shrub that I can use. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Scott
