Does anyone know anything about OSO Easy Roses, particularly Peachy Cream? How well does it grow, water needs, experiences with, etc.? I live in Zone 5-6ish.
OSO Easy Roses
Zone 8a here. I picked up an OSO Easy 'Peachy Cream' about three weeks ago. It was perhaps six inches tall, four or five inches wide. I threw it in an eight-inch pot and set it by the pool. The lawn sprinklers water it every couple of days. Started blooming two days ago, and there's a bit of new leaf growth.
Thanks! I may try it this year...the color is so pretty. Do you know if it spreads?
Here's a description I found on the web:
"This low-mounding selection features peach flowers that transform to cream and stand out against the glossy-green foliage. The large, double flowers are self-cleaning. Bloom time is early summer to frost. It grows 12-36 inches high, which makes it a good candidate for small gardens. It grows best in full sun and is hardy to USDA Hardiness Zone 5."
Here's another, which says the flowers are single, not double, and has a photo that looks just like my blooms: http://www.bigdipperfarm.com/cgi-bin/cart/cart.pl?db=stuff.txt&method=all_words&search=Rose,%20Groundcover
