Somethings in my cukes!

After two days of heavy rain, I noticed what looks like clear water polymers all over the surface of the soil where my cukes are planted. Since I haven't used polymers I can't figure out what these things are. They are different sizes, the biggest about the size of a dime, gel like and clear. Any ideas?
