Bit dreary today, but here's a couple shots anyway.

Pelletory - sorry I missed the question until Mrs. Ed brought it to my attention.

Very nice pics Mrs Ed! Yes the Catbird looks a little on the chunky side lol but it might just be the position.

Palm Coast, FL(Zone 9a)

The baby cardinals hopped out of the nest today, and practiced flying to adjoining branches.

Nanny...great shots...you have a wonderful variety of birds and I have yet to see a Catbird!! I think I am getting a serious case of Catbird envy!

Mrs. Ed..OMG..your RB Grossbeaks are beee you tee full!! I think your Catbird had better lay off the sauce for awhile! Great shots all around!

bsharf...Adorable...thanks for posting!

We had to go get tractor stuff and were gone for several hours. When I checked on my feathered friends I discovered all the jelly dishes empty and many Orioles in the trees seemingly waiting for "lunch"! I filled them up early this morning but it looks like they expect many meals a day!! I've already gone thru 3 large jars of jelly just since they've been here...we won't even count the number of oranges they are eating! Too much fun!!

The Ozarks, MO(Zone 5b)

Forgot to mention that we have lots of Goldfinches again. They could be just passing thru ...I'm clueless about whether they stay or not!

They are very funny Pelle! I can't believe how much they eat and it seems word has gotten around as there are several Orchards and Baltimores. They are out there now in the rain scarfing up the jelly yelling at me "you were late for lunch"!!

Thanks for the info on the GF Pelle...no one around here seemed to know if they stayed or not. Their numbers are not as great as in the winter but I guess that is because there is natural food available for them.

Quoting:
I believe this is a Blackpoll Warbler that is migrating north to Canada

Yep!
Quoting:
Lots of orioles here, too. At this rate, they are gonna eat more groceries than my 16 year old son (who we call the locust)!!!

Lucky you!

We've had a male Summer Tanager feeding in our yard every day since April 26. According to the Audubon people, this is extremely rare, as they usually don't go north of central Illinois! We are in the Keweenaw Peninsula of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Here's a photo, enjoy!
