Some great shots in here.

I've got a new dSLR coming soon. Once I track down some glass you'll all be sick of pigeon and starling images. ;)

Mrs. Ed - grats on the Grosbeak - very cool to see those.

f-chisolm - that cardinal will give me nightmares, reminds me of the Skeksis (bad guys) from the Dark Crystal movie.

Burn - great water birds again. I never tire of the ospreys (haven't seen one since the last time I was in Maine - 15 years ago).

Whiteside County, IL(Zone 5a)

haha. Pigeon and starlings. Time to go to the park, my friend.

The Ozarks, MO(Zone 5b)

OMG...As I type this I can see 3 Indigo Buntings!! There is two right outside the back window and one right outside the front window!! The room I am in is a small breezeway type room and has windows on the north and south. Great birdwatching room!!

Murmur...I know the feeling..I can get pretty choked up too...like right now and earlier when I saw 2 male Rose-breasted Grossbeaks!!
Birding is so awesome!

Lovely pics Burn...you had a great birding day!

Anyway I finally got a pic of the RB Grossbeaks! The female spends a lot of time running off the male! I don't think they liked the rain.

Thanks for the comment Rogue,
LOL I finally got rid of my Starlings, And you'll post reminders.......Nightmares!!!
I only had a few pigeons, this year. A few years ago, I had hundreds of them in my yard. A real invasion. Don't mind seeing them on screen, but not in my yard!!! So please keep the messengers on here. ;)

Hello everyone!! I was four threads behind and just skimmed through the pics and they are fantastic. Between gardening chores and watching my 2 year old grandson who is into everything I'm way behind in DG. I need more hours in the day. I haven't even had time to take some pics of birds. Eleanor

Marlton, NJ

Rita, That is neat!

Hi Eleanor, Good to hear from you! My, you do need more hours in the day.

Whiteside County, IL(Zone 5a)

It sure is a fun time of the year with all these migratory birds!!

Mary, I'm so glad I saw your post with the orange through the end of the shepherd's hook! I've been wondering how to put up some oranges! Such a simple solution.

One of the female Red-breasted Grosbeaks is back today. Dark and rainy though, so pictures not so great so here's another from yesterday.

Male Indigo Bunting! So far I've seen 2 adult males, 1 juvie male and 1 female. The female is feeding this AM but I still have not gotten a shot of her. She is a lovely brown color but way too shy!

The male Baltimore Oriole doesn't come down as often as the female, and when he does, it is very early in the morning or late in the evening.
