Very cool guys! Nice pics!

Talking about peanuts, yesterday my Pheasant followed me when I went to put more peanuts in the silo. I had already put the last of some oats on the ground, but he wanted peanuts first. I gave him a few, then he went back to eat the oats! Later I had him eating bread from my hand, and he was more gentle than the first attempt, lol.

Yesterday the female Blackbird was gathering nesting materials for the next nest. I watched to see where she flew to, but too clever for that, she ran along the ground until out of sight! I haven't seen the young from the first lot yet.

Feeding pheasants by hand?

Oh you've got to have someone take a pic of that!

Lincoln, United Kingdom(Zone 8a)

I will see if that can be arranged pelle!

This Mistle Thrush was collecting outside my front window on the dug area a week ago, has a mouthful of moss too from the 'grass'. It looks to have blue on it but that I think is because it was through double glazing and it was dull. The ones I had last year weren't this pale, they had the 'c' shape heavy dots on buff but this one has large blobs on white, it's back was grey too.

Beautiful pics! I was busy again today so just alittle birdwatching in the back yard. I hope to get out tommorrw and do some looking. I did see a female Red-breated Grosbeak at the feeder this morning, but a grackle scared her off before I could get a pic!!

Once again...only I would get a shot like this! lol

nanny, I got a back view too! Only time I got to take a pic of a Greenfinch on the feeder in sunshine, it didn't see me for a start as I came through the gap to my garden.

What sweeties, those little white-throats! I particularly love to see them in the winter perched in my snow-covered .

Whidbey Island, WA(Zone 7a)

Again, such incredible photos - I could spend all day just looking at them all. Kudos to all of you!!!

I did get this one of three hummers at the feeder - eventually it ended up with a fight, of course, but for that brief time, they were all there.

Mrs. Ed. I think the females are sooo pretty, they are all around today and the dogs barked as soon as I was about to snap a nice and clean pic! I don't know how long they stay in our area!

Here is a Kildeer that is nesting somewhere around the pond area!
