I noticed several plants yesterday with a white, slimy, smelly film on them. They are in the shade and it is humid. Is it a fungus, pest or what?

Hi RubalnMS. I have not encountered that exact stuff, but it sure looks like fungus. I suggest you remove the affected leaves and either burn them or put them in the trash - not the compost heap - and move the plants to different location. Good luck!
