My husband planted 3 red onion bulbs at 3 different times and they are all wilting. They're in about 80 to 90% sunlight and are watered everyday. The weather here in Central Arkansas has been very harsh this spring with lots of severe storms.
Can anyone help?
Wilting Red Onions
Too much water can cause onions to rot. Gently move a little soil away from the bulbs and check to see if they appear mushy.
He planted those real deep, but the big one has gotten Huge! I don't know if the onion is going to be any good, the plant is all broken and looks bad. The small plant that was real wilted has died. He planted a few more just below the surface, hopefully those will do better.
