my friend gave me small baby plants of crape myrtle and oleander . (5 to 6 inches).. the plants grew from the seeds which fell from her plant...will the plants survive...
can crape myrtle and oleanders be propogated from seeds?
They can be grown from seed, however they may not come true from seed. Also with the crape myrtles, some of the named cultivars have been grown specifically for resistance to things like powdery mildew and the seedlings may not retain that feature. Assuming they're cared for properly though there's no reason why they won't survive, they might just not be quite the plants you were expecting.
