Like the way this plant looks but cannot figure out what this could be. As in a previous post I have drawn a red box around the specimen in question. Thanks for any help!
Need Help Identifying
It may be hard to ID without a closeup--I'm assuming this is also not your picture like the last one so I don't know if that's possible or not. Judging by the large tropical plant in the middle of the picture, this is another tropical location so whatever that plant is may not be hardy in your zone anyway.
No this not my home. This is just another plant I was interested in. The bannana looks like it could be a musa basjoo which means that this may not necessarily be a tropical location- but I could be completely wrong. Also, I did not think that the plant in question looked all that tropical making it something that could possibly work in a zone 7.
I'm no banana expert, maybe it is the hardy sort, or even if it's not there's obviously a possibility that shrub would be hardy for you. But regardless, it's going to be pretty tough to get a positive ID on that shrub without a better picture of it. If this is something you found on the internet, maybe it would be easier to post a link to the site you found it on, then we can see the context it's in and that might help get some better guesses.
Just a guess, but something there looks like a lantana. Good luck!
I guess Lantana also !!
It looks, to me, like two separate shrubs growing closely together. The one in flower could be a kerria.
Chris
Kerria , Rose of Sharron or similar is my guess, I can grow the hardier type Bananas here in UK ecrane, but with winter protection like wrap the plant up in straw or hessian etc, they grow like Topsy once the weather warms up and the coverings are removed, not a nice sight in winter I have to admit though. I also would need a closer picture for a really good guess, or even a discription of the foliage/flowers etc. good luck. WeeNel.
