anyway...no females sighted here yet either...I can't believe how they shovel the seed in with those big beaks!

Great Spotted Woodpecker in flight, on a sunny day! Also through the window and I didn't have my camera up to my eye as usual, checking settings, lol, but I'm getting used to quick action.

'My' cock Pheasant ran up to me yesterday asking for food! I gave him some bread, now every time he sees me he comes to within 3 feet of me begging.

Is that a good thing or a bad thing wallaby? So handsome though!

Northumberland, United Kingdom(Zone 9a)

Depends on how pushy he gets . . . that beak could give a nasty peck, if he decides the supply is not up to his demands!

Very nice pics Rose and wallaby!

Rose I can't begin to tell you how may times I've looked out in the yard thought I had a new bird and it turned out to be a female House Finch!

Lincoln, United Kingdom(Zone 8a)

I don't think good or bad nanny, I just hope he doesn't get bumped on the road or the unqestionable. It could be because I have been feeding birds and he picks up the scraps, clever thing knows who puts it there, lol, it's fummy having a Pheasant patrolling the garden daily.

Thanks pelle.

Resin, he's not pushy, but I guess could get to be. Yesterday he ran to me from the neighbour's back yard when I was by the fence, no food but there was a peanut coloured stone about the size of a peanut on the ground he kept trying to eat!

Here is the best picture I could get of mama Cardinal on her nest. I could not get close for fear of scaring her off.

Tomorrow my friend is coming down, perhaps I can convince him to crawl up on the roof to get a good shot of the subjects. Yeah, right!

Hi GP! My respect for you increases everytime I try and get a pic of this little fella! I don't know how you got so many outdoor shots...grrrrr. I actually had 2 of them the other day and was afraid to go outside for fear I would scare them off! This little one is right outside my window so I can at least watch him. It thrills me everytime I see him!!

Mount Pleasant Mills, PA(Zone 5a)

Nanny, lucky you, "twofer" Red Bellied Woodpeckers!

Love the beautiful colorful birds Rose. Let me know if you need more Blue Jays. Good heavens, I have never seen this number of Jays around here.

Lucky you, too, with the Oriole and the Bunting. Wish some would come my way.
