Sorry about all the posts, but I just got my camera working again. I found a dying corn plant left by the side of the road, so I decided to try to save it even though I don't have any experience with corn plants. Whatever I did didn't seem to help. In fact, it's gotten worse. From the pictures, do you think it's still alive? The leaves coming up on the inside are greenish, with still a some yellow in them. I first put it in direct sunlight, but it was only in direct sunlight for about 3 days before I did some research and realized it shouldn't be. I moved it to an area that gets very little direct sunlight (the very top of the plant gets about 1/2 hour of direct sun, but most of it is still in shade even during that time). I watered it and accidentally left it in standing water for a day--which might be the cause of the problem. I've been letting it dry out since then (that was two weeks ago). The temperature has varied a little (at night it's gotten down to the mid 40s a couple of nights, but in general it's gotten down to around 50, and it's been high in the low 60s to mid 70s). What should I do? Should I try repotting it? Giving it plant vitamins? Bring it inside? Leave it alone? I'll follow up with a few more pictures.
Is my corn plant dead? If not, what can I do to revive it!?
