I was looking on the internet for idea on pool landscaping and I ran across this picture. I really want to know what this name of the BRIGHT RED plant is. It's one of the most beautiful plants I have ever seen. Any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!!!!
Does anyone know what this is????
I'm not an expert at this but, if you are reffering to the short deep redish one, I have a simular one in my home and it's called "croton" It comes from the gardens of Sri Lanka . It's also called "bush on fire".
Now, if only someone would reply to my question.
ny--I don't know where your thread is that you're talking about, but if it's slipped too far down the page the best way to get people to see it again is for you to post a reply to yourself on your thread, that'll bring it back up to the top of the page where people will see it. Around here we call this "bumping". Forums like this that are pretty busy things sometimes fall down the page before someone who knows the answer comes along and notices it.
To me the plants resemble some species of Cordyline.
That was my thought too...this same pic was posted a few other places, and the other possibilites that were given on the other threads were Phormium (for the shorter lower things, not the tall thing on the far left) and I think someone else on one of the other threads also suggested croton.
Dracaena marginata commonly called Red-edge Dracaena or Madagascar dragon tree, and can grow to 15 feet in height, supported by a long, slender truck or "cane" and it is also one of the top indoor plants.
