Can someone suggest a reputed nursery to buy 5-in-1 type fruit salad apple tree closer to the San Francisco Bay Area? Is it a good time to plant?
Thanks,
Fruit Salad Apple Tree
Is there a Navlet's by you? I think I remember seeing them at the Navlet's near me a few years ago. It might be a little late to find a good selection of fruit trees at any nurseries though, they usually bring those in bare root earlier in the year. I'd just go to whatever your favorite local nursery is and see if they can order one for you, most nurseries are willing to do that for things they don't have in stock. As far as whether it's a good time to plant...we're starting to head into warmer weather and I'm still planting a few things that I didn't get to earlier, but already I've lost some recently planted stuff because of these couple of really warm weekends we've had. So I'd probably wait until fall if you can find one then, or else really early spring next year when everyone has their bare-root fruit trees in stock.
