Growing Potatoes

Has anyone planted potatoes this year? Am interested in trying to grow Fingerlings for the first time, since I can't find any to buy in any grocery stores (Atlantic-Camden Counties) in New Jersey, so want to try growing them in my own garden.

Think that perhaps I am a bit late in looking for seed potatoes....a lot of places seem to be sold out! Anyone with experience, or suggestions, along these lines???

Several of us are growing potatoes. We're over on the Vegetable forum. This is a thread I started and there's been quite a bit of discussion that might be helpful to you. There are a couple other threads about potatoes, too. I'm in Zone 9 and would think you're in a much cooler part of the country so you may be just in time. I'm having a great time with my first potatoes ever. Join in!
