Trollius not blooming

I have had a trollius (globe flower) in a container on my terrace for about 3 years. Every spring it puts out full foliage but does not bloom. I have it in partial sun. Some years ago, I had another trollius which bloomed without fail no matter how I mistreated it (e.g. lack of water, too-small container). I can't figure out why this one won't bloom. It otherwise appears healthy. Can anyone help?
