Rain's suggestion of a WANT thread
AV-ocd-girl................do we have a Rosa18? It is none of my business but I am curious........and nosy at that!
I was reading this whole thread from the beginning and on the 13th post down she said she would like Optimara EverPraise. I don't have EverPraise, but I have EverPrecious. She must be new to the forum.
Just being nosy............isn't that horrible. Welcome aboard Rosa!!!!!!!!!!
ha; i have everglory
mrsbonnie
Bonnie and avocado girl,
I would be happy to take leaves or plants, most of my plants we're pitched due to a cyclamen mite infestation.
gessie, I've been on this forum for quite awhile, I don't post a whole lot, mostly just take all the info you post and run with it...LOL
Please dmail me with postage and costs etc
Thanks much,
Jill
Well, this thread was started in April ... I've seen it a couple of times but haven't posted. Guess I've been trying to think of what I want. I have finally decided:
I WANT A GREENHOUSE - (or a new house with a large room inside for plants only!)
Ok, ok ... there ARE a couple of plants on my "wish" list too!
Micro Mini Sinningia 'Concinna'
Micro Mini Sinningia 'Bright Eyes'
Micro Mini Sinningia 'Carefree Regina'
Micro Mini Sinningia 'Razzamatazz'
Micro Mini Sinningia 'Snowflake'
Miniature Sinningia 'Plum It'
Miniature Sinningia 'Silhouette'
... oh, and I really, really would love if I could get some patience to learn how to grow Strep's as beautiful as some of the photo's I've seen on this forum! If I learn the trick for growing those beauties then I will have another much longer "wish" list!
Really though, I don't have any room for any more plants, but it sure is fun to look through photo's and write down all the names of ones I'd like to grow if I had the time and space!
Can anyone help me find delta fox?its a sinningia
thanks
JIM
Hi,
I have just checked the thread and I have some leaf babies from plants that Jannich and AVocd girl want.
I also have two japanese leaves down that have started little ears.
The russian pink is still rooting. no ears. Mrs Bonnie and Jim have it on their wish list.
So... what do I do? I dmail the peeps that are interested, wait until the ears turn int o big leaves? What is the right thing to do?
Thank you.:o)
what japanese leaves do you have down,
JIM
Hototogisu and Wakane.
Celene - I just listed some episcia Pink Smoke stolons on the DGM or perhaps we could arrange a trade. D-mail me if interested.
oo Goldleaf..I sure wish Episcias liked me..I would snatch them up for sure..lol..I took a peek and those are gorgeous!
Thanks, Cedarnest...you are so sweet. The secret to episcias is warmth and humidity. Pink Smoke is only the second variegated episcia to have pink blossoms so is unique in that way.
Since starting over again, my want list would be a mile long and my have list pretty short! It will be fun collecting new things to grow though. For now, I am loving seeing everyones beautiful plants...
Oh my goodness ... I just had to go look at that one! Really Beautiful foliage! And, I googled and found this picture of an amazing plant in full bloom! Scroll down this page and then click on the picture of the Episcia! WOW! http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.greenstarfoliage.com/images/600pixWide/Episcia-%27PinkSmoke%27.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.greenstarfoliage.com/ExoticsAndFloweringPlants.htm&h=628&w=600&sz=142&hl=en&start=1&um=1&usg=__OfW4GU9pjQR1hiSJK17FUvMtxx0=&tbnid=0LpIdbaZ__zQqM:&tbnh=137&tbnw=131&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dimages%2Bof%2Bepiscia%2Bpink%2Bsmoke%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DX
I think I just found another to add to my "wish" list!
Nancy...glad to hear that I'm not the only one who loves episcias with "no love returned"! LOL!!
That's a great photo, Lin!
What a wonderful photo, Lin! I can't wait as I got some on DG Marketplace! I just happened to be in the right place at the right time..............
That is not my photo, I just googled "images of episcia pink smoke" and that was the first one that came up! It is a beautiful episcia!
I was in the right place at the right time and got them, too! I love DG Marketplace! ^_^ It's a gorgeous Episcia!
Thanks for the photo, Lin. Another one added to my every-growing list. LOL
Imadigger, let me get my stolons planted and see what happens...........hopefully they will make more stolons!!!
Eileen, I added that one to my "wish" list too! It sure is gorgeous! I am not good at rooting stolons either.

I have been googling (as usual) and found a plant I would Love, Love, Love to try someday.
Adding to my wish list:
Eucodonia 'Frances'(My Mom's name) : http://www.gesneriads.ca/eucodon2.htm such a pretty little plant and it does remind me of a Mini Sinningia!
pats pets usually carries alot of eucodonia's.
bonnie
What a vivid flower color on Episcia PP!
I used to be able to grow these in our former house...big east facing window right above the kitchen sink...I miss that window!
Also had a pothos that 'dug' it's aerial roots right into the paint of the cabinets above the sink!
Can't grow them in our current home.
GoldLeaf: That is a Beautiful E. Pink Panther! I have one but it only blooms sporadically and with just one or two blooms at a time. I probably should change the fertilizer and use a bloom booster.
LOL Nan ... I can just picture that Pothos attaching itself to the wood of the kitchen cabinets ... doesn't surprise me at all. I would love it, maybe I should move one of mine into the kitchen! I have a Hoya brevialata that is hanging out on my pool deck and last week I found it had reached out and attached itself to the screen and a couple of vines had gone through the screen to the other side and looked like they were reaching for the Schefflera tree and the orchids hanging there! I pulled it off the screen and moved the basket to a different location far away from the screen.
I know what you mean, Nan. It is so nice to have that "perfect window". I grow episcia on the light stands in my downstairs plant room where I can keep the humidity up. My big front window is the hoya window in the winter along with a few other things. Funny about the pothos.
Lin, isn't it interesting how plants find their way...amazing.
Since this is a WANT thread, I better stick to the subject and say I would love to find episcia "Unpredictable Valley" again. I loved that one.
Oooh, Unpredictable Valley should be on my wish list too!

Let's say I have an addiction! I am still learning how to care for them, but I have a bunch! I d-mailed several folks from the want list. I have seed pods, but I didnt do the crosses. someone told me that streps cant self fertilize. well mine were outside on the front porch so I guess some bees have been busy. Anyway, I can only vouch for the seed parent.
Had to spray the whole rack with Malathion lest I bring critters into the house along with my plants.
Gosh! I was reading Jim's tips earlier & I have at least 3 lime green plants. now I've got to repot! the only fertilizer I have on hand is miracle Grow.
dales scarlet macaw was on ebay? I searched for new strep listings last night but I didnt see it. Just searched for it now, but I can only bring up parrots! ebay keeps ignoring my 'strep' request! dont really need red bird feathers! lol
