Scattelogical ramblings and desultory humor - Almost May

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Well we should definitely walk more - good for the environment, the economy and our health.

Cleveland,GA/Atlanta, GA(Zone 7b)

No. it's just about what enough money can buy. Really, go back to living a normal life, it's much more satisfying.

Whenever I see so many pretty plants and trees and shrubs, I want I want I want! But, I have a nice little home and garden that is beautiful to me, and that is perfect!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yes, it's hard to keep a lid on enthusiasm for plants, but I am better than I was a few years back. Running out of room!

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

Definitely out of space, on to my sister's and friend's yards!!

Cleveland,GA/Atlanta, GA(Zone 7b)

Well, as usual, I was being figurative and not literal. I understand the Venus/Mars thing. Yes, walking is good. Bran is good too.

L

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I did get that, Laurel. I'm half Venus.

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

the pantyhose half

1/2 man 1/2 planet?

Greensboro, AL

Which half wears the pantyhose?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Very good!

Cleveland,GA/Atlanta, GA(Zone 7b)

Yes, well after the last little while I'd appreciate it if you don't mention the other half. I will concede to Venus envy however.

L

I was gonna put 1/2 man or 1/2 woman but I couldnt type at that time

Greensboro, AL

Or, was that Joe Namath? Easy to confuse the two of you.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Didn't get that one, Laurel.

Oh Boy

Cleveland,GA/Atlanta, GA(Zone 7b)

I might be obtuse at times. Sorry (not).

L

Land down under? Nitters all dg'ers - bit the bullet see ya tomorrow.

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

The tiller blade is 18" in diameter.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Should look great, Cat.

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

I liked the "Venus envy" line!

Can't always tell much from the punchline, Dave.

Greensboro, AL

Nite Y'all.

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

Rhyming, Dave?

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

We lead DG's posts this week, beating out Games! 2,120 posts!

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

I just saw that Pirl, we were a chatty bunch this week!

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

It's rare, if ever, that we beat out games.

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

We do have a lot of new people helping out now.

Upstate, NY(Zone 5a)

Venting - We had another frost last night. This time I wasn't expecting it and left my begonia baskets outside!! Well I guess I'll see what they look like when I get home from work. I'm expecting black mush.....I'm so mad at myself for not checking the weather. My dh checked the extended forcast and looks like a great week, guess I should have asked him to check last nights temps! 3 beautiful ones. There I feel better now.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

That is so upsetting. Many of us could use special pillowcases that say:
Have you brought in all tender plants?

That should be a sign in the kitchen and bathroom, too!

I think there should be signs every where! DH sometimes forgets to shut the air compressor off in the garage. In the middle of the night it will kick on grrrrrr

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Sorry to hear that, Debbie. Hopefully, no more! I think the games people are in the garden more! Also, we've been posting lots of pics.

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

Didn't know I was rhyming, but speaking of rhyme, our high school's production of Seussical just completed its time. My DD is exhausted, perhaps even sick. But they were amazing, the production was slick. Goodbye to Horton and to the Whos one and all, 'Cause a person's a person no matter how small.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Congrats to DD, Dave.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Great job, Dave's DD!

Love your last line, Dave.

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

pirl ~ I love the pillowcase idea. I'll have to make some.

Dave ~ love the rhyming. And congrats to your poor, exhausted DD.

AYC ~ I absolutely LOVE the new house decoration!! What a great find for you!!

Greensboro, AL

Congrats to NE Forum. Over the top. Again.

I sure do hope the frosts are over. Its cold here too.

Upstate, NY(Zone 5a)

I like the pillow case idea as well!! Maybe, just maybe it won't be as bad as I think....nah.

Games people, that made me stop and think...could Victor be talking about the empire state games? Then I realized that work is on my mind way to much these days!!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Do you work on the Empire games, Debbie?

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

If the begonias aren't soft and squishy they just may have survived. Were they tubers or fibrous begonias? I'd hold out hope it they're tubers.
