plant ID

Lawrenceville, GA

I just bought this plant and it came with a bunch of other plants and it didn't have an ID on it. Can someone please help me identify it?

It kinda looks like a shasta daisy....but that's just a guess...I'm not good at this! I just dug up a whole bunch of them though, and the leaves kinda look like that...but maybe not so round! Hope you figure it out!

Looks more like a Montauk daisy (Nipponanthemum nipponicum). I have it as well as Shasta daisy and I like the Montauk better. It blooms profusely with white daisy like flowers and, if kept dead-headed, it has a long bloom period. It has a shrub-like habit and gets to be about 1 1/2 to 2 feet tall. The leaves are thicker than Shasta's and a little greener. It's got a very neat growth habit and doesn't spread as freely as Shasta's do. It's in the mum family.

kls_01 Ahhhh! I think that's it! I ordered a preplanned garden and some didn't have tags and I couldn't figure out what this was.

Thanks so much!

I just learned that this ground cover is very aggressive. Great- I just planted some. Just goes to show ya DO YOUR RESEARCH FIRST. I will learn one day.
