Hey, Amy, you didn't run me off..........I just got back from town with my brother and his family eating at the 'local cafe' and now I am going to take a much need nap. Then I will be back with pictures.....
I am amazed, Brenda, that you can grow Kohleria so well in your climate. I can't make them grow or do anything.......finally gave up growing them.............
Going to take a nap and then be back with more pics than you want!!!
What's blooming in April IV
Your pictures are anything but boring Gail..LOL..Far from it..Keep em' coming!! .Awesome is more like it..Oh how great it must be to have Jasmine blooming right outside your door.I can almost smell it from here..
Great pictures Gail. I see you got a snowbush. I noticed at your house Monday. I trimmed mine back and they are coming out again nicley. They spred underground too. LOVE that! It is a wonderful plant. I have them all along one side of the yard.
Almost time to eat some shrimp! One more post.
Mulletman, those photos are so pretty. The blue flowers are wonderful! They are bells? Nice.
Mulletman, love your pics of your episcia blooming and everyone loves Annabelle!
She always seems to reach for the sky when she grows.
Sally, when I worked at the Brookwood Community in Brookshire (which is a great nursery by the way) we always propagated Snowbush and I missed having one around. They don't bloom very often and when they do, it is an ugly red next to the pretty variegated foliage.
Still playing with camera and here are some new sinningias I haven't put pictures on DG yet. Falling in love with sinningias of all kinds.........species, too
Sinningia 'Pink Sunrise' by Harris
Whoaa... now I've got to get me one of those! 'Fireworks' is getting added to my wish list.
Give me some time, Mulletman and I will 'make' you some. I just got this big order in of sinningias and they have to get a little bigger before I can take cuttings.........but they root so easily........
A friend sent me 10 about a month ago and they are giant now. Here is one of them and she started it from a cutting. This one is called Flair (I posted earlier about this one)
Bonnie is waiting for them to get big enough , too.........
ooops wrong picture. This is 'Party Dude' by Lyons
I can't find the picture of 'Flair' right now...........
Wow,I'm late fo the party today! Wonderul pictures everyone.I enjoyed the show!
Did you see the pic I took of Flair earlier? Jan , she is beautiful!
Also, I have some of your sinningias in the kitchen for transplanting tomorrow. Sinningia 1503 has such a big tuber that she has broken the pot !!!!!
Those sinningias are fabulous Gail. I have a few of them and love them too!
My cousin, who I consider a near pro with garden and flower photography, took a look at your photos with the Nikon D40 and then went and bought one today!! She said she had been looking for something along these lines for nearly a year!
I can get a whole Surprise Party strep to look pretty good with my Kodak ... but not the close ups! From today with the snow falling outside, Bristol's Hot Rod directly behind Surprise Party, then Bristol's Tiger Lily and then Pajama Party in the back right. Dibley's Crystal Ice on the right front . As I've said, at least they know it's spring!

That is one really great photo Brenda, the clarity and vivid color is amazing!
.... Wow! Snow? At the end of April? I guess living in the south all my life it is so hard to picture snow this time of year! Here we are back in the 80's daytime and mid 60's at night.
How about tomorrow you take a picture of another pretty snow scene and post it?
