Purchase Live Sphagnum Moss

Good Morning Y'All
I was wondering if anyone has a good source for purchasing good quality live sphagnum moss? Any leads would be appreciated.......

Bill............we have it in the wild. Most of our mountains are held by one state agency or another. We are not permitted to collect anything but dead wood with a permit. I found enough on private land to set up a nice worm bed. We add a little every year or so.

Hope you find a commercial source.

Bill, just drive up A1A to St. Augustine. There should be lots in the trees along the way. Be forewarned that live sphagnum moss will almost surely be infested with chiggers.

Let me add that chiggers would far rather crawl all over you and enter your body for their food. I have not experienced them where I live although they do hang around the undercover. Don't ever sit down or go unsprayed in real chigger country.

If you do get a chigger the best cure is a dab of fingernail polish. That either smothers them or the acetone in the nail polish gets ''em. You will not care which if you ever get into a mess of them. You will want the buggers dead or you will think you will die from them. A bunch of them can be serious business for some people.
