I moved into a new house late last summer, so I missed the spring blooms. Now, I'm trying to identify some of the plants in my beds.

Looking at the enlargement I would hazard a guess of hosta just coming up. I hope someone else looks too.

I thought hosta, too. But it's really too short yet to tell for sure.

My hosta, which is just beginning to come up, looks exactly like that. That would be my somewhat uneducated guess, too.

My hostas coming up looked like that, but not purple. They were green coming out of the ground. But there are so many hosta cultivars, no reason to suppose they all come up green to start with.
