Work party in Q

Poulsbo, WA(Zone 8a)

As I have been ask by some, when?

Okay, have decided to do it, the big question is when. the weather has not been nice lately as we all know.

My work party will be, a paint a play party. I have a 16' travel trailer that can not go on trips anymore, I am going to use it as my little space, everything works in it. just not a road warrior any more.

I had a lot of feed back on what to do with it on painting, wizard of Oz, and a few others. ( No Monkeys)
DH had a idea of making it look like a log cabin, I was thinking a wagon, or a Gypsy wagon. When Sheri came out, I was telling her the ideas. She said the same thing I wanted, a Gypsy wagon. I looked them up and Wow, what neat looking wagons
I have bought the wheels, and some paint, and a few other things that are a wagon wheel design. and today I thought about something else, which will be a secret to only those that come or who Dmail me. (Sorry Laurie but you will like it and I can not give you any details, need patience my dear)
The problem I have is the time frame. My next Vac will be in July first week, are anniversary is the 3rd. I can not plan a painting party with the weather the way it has been, any ideas on what would be a good time,

I can just see the transformation in my mind, so cool.

You know what happened in a "Gypsy Wagon" Tills? They always had cute women to travel the woodlands and make the farmers happy. LOL
You need to have the windows in the trailor enlarged by taking off the front and adding a big picture window to sit in front of. Make it round or something gnome like so you have an interesting subject in your garden. Then you can back lite the interior to be seen by the outside and make it a seasonal topic. Two columnar trees at each corner will frame the trailer to make it a gnome home.

This is the first piece.
A flower cart. just put it together in the house LOL

What is that, a big beanie chair in a man made cave LOL.

And yes I know what a Gypsy is, also they know more about life than most of us do, My DH was a Carney, as was His Family, for most of his life, not know he has roots to this ground, and will never leave it, he says I have to bury him here. ( don't think that will fly with the county)
And not only that, What is a Gypsy? a person that tries to make a living in whatever skills they had. I have to give them a thumbs up.
I lived that life, only to survive and be the best I can. And that speaks for alot of people who have been there.

Tills, I love that flower cart... did you build it or was it a kit?!
I have to have one! LOL!

the flower cart is brill!, as is the woven cave - more forward please!!

And a website http://www.gypsy-caravans.co.uk/

And a bit of background reading about one of our writers who was interested in the Gypsy and their lifestyle. some of the poetry is stunningly evocative. http://www.vam.ac.uk/activ_events/adult_resources/memory_maps/contemp_writing/prose/blythe_r/index.html

(painted as the purple flying bus? very gypsy!)

Way to go Tills! Good choice (like there was any other IMHO!) I'm with Anjl...is the flower cart a kit and, if so, where can I get one? Love it! I'm ready to convert the trailer...I can feel the Gypsy blood surging in my veins as I think about it! My Bohemian ancestors are calling to me!

And Sofer ~ The woven cave is so cool. How'd you do that?

Burwash Weald, United Kingdom(Zone 9b)

Outta has her bandana around her neck, and her hair loose, singing Fado and dancing barefoot! What an image.

Kalispell, MT(Zone 4b)

I too am bohemian and respect anyone's lifestyle that provides for their own concerns. So my Gypsy comments were only to inform incase you wondered why cars seeing your gypsy wagon were pulling into your drive way. Just worried about you Tills. LOL
Anyway the Gnome cave is a series of natural designs from an internet site that caters to "Gnomies". I thought a trailer with a big round window facing the garden would be cool and the gnome cave is an idea of how to do it.

Poulsbo, WA(Zone 8a)

I guess I need to slap my hands for typing that Sofer, So sorry. and the will see LOL right next to the road, more likely they will laugh there self silly and think I just when off the deep end ^_^

Yes it is a kit, and guess where all my stuff comes from, Big Lots LOL
Wait till I get the rest together,

And I have change my mind, though about it last night. So Laurie my thought was to paint it purple ( the purple flying bus (wagon). I can't keep a secret anyway.
That is the site I got my idea from LOL

I have already bought 17 cans of Lilac purple, I know that is not enough
but a start and need other shades as well.

This is the side that faces 'Woodland'
I also bought some flower fencing in a Gothic type design, in a greenish/black color, to mount around the top of the trailer like a luggage rack.

Idea on a date what about May 3rd or 4th ? still on vac. I don't have to be back until the 6th.

What a messy mess

Burwash Weald, United Kingdom(Zone 9b)

17 buckets of paint!!!! How large are these buckets - you may be painting the next ferry into Seattle!!! But I love the idea of the purple bus!!! And I guessed it! Hurrah for me! This is going to be so much fun - where's Pix, she needs to do some faeries for it.

Poulsbo, WA(Zone 8a)

Looking good Tills for the yard now you need to get to work painting. Purple geeesssh! If I were your husband I would set you straight and have my color painted. Women need to look to we men for the proper choices in decoration. Ooooohhh LOL
Now think about this for a style of fencing.

Thumbnail by Soferdig
Poulsbo, WA(Zone 8a)

All together, still things to do, like clean it up some, but not till the trailer is painted. Then the final touches.

This is one angle, facing 'Woodland'

Thumbnail by tillysrat
Poulsbo, WA(Zone 8a)

OOOOOOOh Please bring that right over. NOW LOL
How did you do that, I love it
My DH thinks its going to be cool, at least it will blend in a little better than it does now. Its like a big sore thumb sticking out. I think you will like it when its done. And what is your color?

Love that furniture. Are they out of the entire series or just the planter? Your "garden shed area" is going to be awesome. You have a beautiful piece of property. We must have a tea party when you are finished.

Union, WA(Zone 8b)

Aha, now we know Soferdig is in real life Shrek! Kind heart and a little into the magical things. Beautiful gate and neat grotto.

Poulsbo, WA(Zone 8a)

Would just love that Willow, If we could just come up with the right times my normal (?) days off are Tues & Wed Would love you for tea, I have work so much on this project the rest of the yard has been neglected, (boy am I bad) it needs serious help, but I am glued to this, and the house has gone to the dogs LOL maybe with this work party some one will help. No house cleaning is involved. You will have to put blinders on, DH says he will make it look nice ?

Poulsbo, WA(Zone 8a)

Even tho we have had a few ups and downs, He is a man I could fall for, but we are both married, so sad and live states apart, maybe thats a good thing LOL
