Davie, I'm going to run out of superlatives - they are beautiful.

Newly planted tree in a new neighborhood.
Thanks Kathleen, I was up in your area over the weekend. A spot opened up at the mine in Pala, so we went and checked it out. It was fun. Found a small amount of Termoline (spelling?) Also took a look at the Specimen House (wholesale tropical plant dealer) and a local Wholsale flower shop in San Marcos, what a nice area. Too bad the weather was so crappy. Guess you guys needed the rain in that area though? That's what I was told by the people at the mine.

We always need rain, Davey! Worked for us, though, as it softened up some ground so we could put a plant in yesterday.
However, the weeds are popping up as we look, which is the bad side of the rain.

Are you a spelunker, then? Tourmalines are pretty - did it have lots of color?

Yuma, AZ

No not a spelunker, just like to try new things. I found a few small, but nice, pink crystals, 1 green, and a lot of black Tourmaline. My GF found a larger pink Tourmaline, that could be cut into a small stone. All are very nice looking, it was worth the $20. I even brought a bag of dirt to sift through at home.

Davie,
Wow great photos. It still too cold here were I live. I only have 2 inflows and they're on my penang peach. My leaves are still small.
In town(Phoenix) things are a month ahead of mine. Being in the low 70's at night I don't think is helping things either.
My friend near Mesa has a whole back yard full of blooming plumeria but again that is an area 20 degrees warmer that were I live.
If you go on the South West Gardensite we aren't seeing very many plumeria blooms just an inflo or two.

Such a nice thread to look at again. It's still not that warm here consistently, either, though it did get up to 90 today. My CA Sunset is just starting to bloom again. Perhaps they will look better this time.

Tucson, AZ

davie - so are we gonna be able to see lola beauty? haha! i'm sure it will be from the other side of the bars. i'd keep an eye or two on mickey. hehe!

just kidding mickey...

Mickey, it is cool here too still, and inflo's are progressing very slowly. I had another yellow/white open yesterday and was glad to see it. It will be July before blooms really get going here.

Cave Creek, AZ

Clare,
It's been getting rather cold at night here . I think last night was 69. That sure doesn't help the leaves grow.
I know if will be hot before we know it.

69 is cold? LOL i do think it is below normal for this time of year.

Yuma, AZ

Hey guys...It's been up and down here. Above 100 one week, in the 80's the next. The wind has been horrible, I do not remember it every being this windy. The wind is what keeps changing the wether. It will blow out of the N and bring cool weather for a day or two. Then it will blow out of the S and it heats up again. I don't have as many bloom as last year either, sure it has to do with the weather.
Not only is the Lola behind bars...those bars are wired hot, and topped with razor wire.
Ruffles...this just flowers in bouquet after bouquet. It has as many as 30 flowers open a ta time.

Lava Flow, showing its true colors, but I am afraid that it may have a virus. Can't tell. What do you all think?

Really lovely, Davie. This has probably been answered before, but what kind of scent does Ruffles have?

Kathleen
