Pele was kind enough to ask me to start the new thread. Don't have much to show. We are just breaking into Springtime here.

Great job sybil! Thank You!

Nice shot Frank!!

Florence, MS(Zone 8b)

Hummers are early but the Goldfinch seem to be late leaving the south. Or maybe they are expanding their territory. That would be wonderful and would take some getting used to. Goldfinch all year!!! OH MY!!!!

Nice start Sybil...and great shot of the Goldy, Frank.

Florence, MS(Zone 8b)

Their range is only 200 miles away in three directions. Do you think this one and his mate might stay?

Melbourne, FL

There are still a few way down here, but I don't expect them to stay much longer. It's been nice having them around this year, though.

Grand-Falls, NB(Zone 4a)

Thanks for the new thread Sybil, great shot of the Junco .
Frank very nice shot of the Hawk, I didn't see the Copper Hawk , that come here, in flight, It's always perched, when I spot him.
The Bohemian were fighting over the small crabapple. I missed the shot by a few seconds.

Thanks for the ID Resin. I didn't know I had purple finches! :)

I forgot about these. I took these on Saturday at the pond near our library.

I think they're Mute Swans. They are either young or dirty. :)

Thanks for the new thread sybil! We haven't seen or hear our Pileated's for 2 weeks now. Of course, with the flickers around it sure is not quiet around here!

Had to do some house work here the last couple days so just have Iwhat I got through the window during breaks!

Yep, young. The one in front is a cygnet from last year, it won't be white until it has moulted this summer.

Looks most like a female Purple Finch to me, but pic isn't clear enough to be certain.

When the Arctic thaws! That's an Arctic Redpoll (a.k.a. Hoary Redpoll) you have there - worth informing your local bird recorder.

Really! Well what do you know? Oh, that's right, you know a lot!

Orchard Park, NY

The blue birds have returned to Buffalo! Whoo hoo! I watched a pair through my binoculars (no picture) yesterday at the nearby soccer field in my neighborhood. The female was bringing nesting material to the nesting box.

I have two boxes up and ready for occupancy at my school - no sight of bbs there yet.
