We will be attending the Earth Day event on Lion's Field (600 W> Buena Vista Ave) in North Augusta ,SC on Saturday April 19 from 10 AM to 1 PM. I LOVE Earth Day. It's so educational and fun. All ages seem to enjoy the event as there are tree giveaways, animal exhibits, (think reptiles) and other activities. This event is very child friendly. Two years ago, I got a black walnut seedling while attending our Earth Day celebration. This year I'm seeing leaves on the tree. There are always plants give-aways at Earth Day. There are tomato, cukes and other veggie plants for the attendees.
I'm posting for two reasons.
a) Earth Day in North Augusta is very nicely presented. You and your group or family might enjoy it as a family outing.
b) I wanted to see what other people do on Earth Day.
You might want to consider this an opportunity to visit one of the prettiest cities in SC. This is definitely a small town gardener's event.
Hope you'll join in the festivities commemorating Earth Day '08.
