poeny tree

is the poeny tree as good as they say

Ayrshire Scotland, United Kingdom

I think they are wonderful, but one mans poison is often another mans feast, so it depends what you are looking for, if you can tell us a bit more about why you question the Peony tree's then maybe this could help either sway you towards trying one, or, telling you to chose something else. WeeNel.

PLANTS555,

You haven't lived until you've seen a tree peony in full bloom. They are spectacular, I can assure you. They are also relatively easy to grow, are extremely long lived and require very little care once established. Generally, most cultivars are hardy down to about zone 4-5.

Check out this photo, and I won't have to convince you:

Here is another photo, hopefully a better close up of the plant when you click on the thumbnail.

I'm here to let you know that you can grow tree peonies here in NC. This is a picture of one at my Mom's house in Wake Forest. It's only been in the ground for three years and it's doing great!
