Welcome, Susan!
I am so confused?
???
Welcome Susan. Why are you confused?.
Welcome Susan! Ask anything, we'll help if we can.
This thread starte d along time ago and ....does it seem there are a ton more people on DG and you get lost in the crowd? I don't know doesn't seem to have the feel it use to. I feel like I just walked into a very noisy party sometimes.
Not in this forum! We're very cozy!
But we can't promise we won't confuse you more! We're very confused and confusing.
I agree.
Just hop in when ever you feel like it, it is a big place and can be over whelming at times.
Hi Susan! I will add you to the list. There are a lot of names on the list. Some of them were added and they don't seem to post very often - hmm, sounds like me!! The list was started so we would know each other's real name. We're glad to have anyone and everyone on the list and hope they stop by to visit as often as possible. Glad to have you on the list Susan. Eleanor
I don't have a garden either, but live in an apartment (in the back) with out any sunlight. My plants grow under bulbs. I wish I had a garden though. I love watching and learning at DG so that when I retire, I will hopefully have a garden.
Torriesmom, Ivy
Do you post in the house plants forum? DD is from Ohio but posts in NE because she says that it is more fun. dahlia nut posts anywhere she wants to.
hello and welcome Susan!!
Hello everyone and thank you. I have a confession....I am currently living in NC but moving in the next 6-9 months to MA. I am originally from MA so I want to start getting to know people in the Northeast groups.
My husband and I have a small produce farm here in NC, we have ben growing and selling through a CSA program for about 6 years. Our house is on the market and we are praying very hard that it will sell in the Spring. I am currently in a horticulture program at a local college and will be done with it in May of '10.
When we get to MA I plan to start a greenhouse/nursery business.
Ok, enough about me. We just got 6 inches of rain here hope you all don't get as wet as we did.
Hi Susan! We are getting wet in New York also - not quite 6 inches though. It doesn't matter that you are still in NC. To qualify to be on the list and post in the Northeast Forum you have to be "north east of somewhere" (quoted from Victor)!! Hope you sell your place soon and find yourself northeast of North Carolina. Good luck in school. Keep us posted on how you are doing!! Eleanor
Welcome Susan ^_^ I'm a NE alumni, originally from ONT and yes, it's true, I'm a forum floozy.
I've heard that in every forum I've been to. Even the soap one.
Thanks Eleanor. and everyone. I enjoy school and am learning so much. We can't wait to move. I am ready to go "home". We will be going up for Thanksgiving. Yippppeeeee!
Nice! Good luck with the business.
Thanks Victor. It is very exciting.
Wow I didn't think you were allowed on the Soap Forum Victor. They have strict rules about cleanliness.
They would not allow me with my dirty mind.
Rain here all day, but not 6" & wind. I have seen pictures of some of the damage further south. Are you going to bring any of your plants with you?
Oh yeah. I am propogating quite a few as we speak. I have about 100 going at the moment in my greenhouse. I have never propogated woody plants so will be anxious to see what makes it and what does not. I will also be digging up some favorites here, like irises, daylilies and one rose in particular...no, two roses. Memorial Day and Pilgrim.
Welcome, Susan. Congrats on the schooling. Best wishes on the move. This is a fun forum.
Jan
Thanks. I am glad I found the forum.
Welcome, Susan!
wow what a trip... good luck with the move Susan!!
I had no idea there was a soap forum
:)
Here's another name for you list...ME!!! Kevin Jacobs, of Columbia County, NY. Great to meet other gardeners in our frigid corner of the globe! I keep warm in winter with dozens - er, hundreds - of flowering houseplants. I write about them at Dave's Garden, and also on my blog www.agardenforthehouse.com
Welcome Kevin! I have a friend in Ghent.
