Thats a Sanseveria trifasciata or a snake plant. I've also heard it called a mother-in-law tongue.

LOL.. like the names, Do you have them? Do they grow more?
Thank you!

Yeah I have one and I love it but its crazy that it doesn't need much care. I think the tallest they get is 3 to 4 feet. I bought mine at wal-mart. The thing is my local wal-mart isn't very good at keeping plants (I dont know how the other wal-marts are.) and by the end of a couple months they are all thats left. they are very tough. I read that this college professor had wanted to see how long they could go with out water, and it took TWO years to die. but they can be overwatered very easy.

I love my mother in law's tongue, also after a couple of months and a bit more growth you can propagate it rather easily and fill a nice size pot with this super fun plant.

I have a hard time keeping my cat away from my plants, She doesn't try to eat them any more since she lost her teeth! :)

Every time I tell people that they think I had something to do with it nope she is 14 years old no worries.

I heard this plant was toxic to cats, but there are some who say that they're not. I'd keep them away from small pets though.

I have them in three tall terracotta pots in my bedroom, in very DARK areas, and they still thrive. I didn't pay attention to them for 3 weeks since I was on a trip. I was like, Oh no! I got plants in my room, I have to go! Surprised me that instead of wilting, I got three more shoots coming up! I suggest keeping this plant in a container you love, it just loves to be in the same pot, filling out every corner :)
