Daily Pics Vol. 91

Northumberland, United Kingdom(Zone 9a)

Tawny Owl . . . this one is one of the adults of a pair in my local public park. They have two fledged owlets which I saw a couple of days ago, but they were hiding out of view today.

Nice pics nanny! We have a few male Cardinals chasing each around constantly here.
Question for Resin: Would it be too early to be seeing Chickadee fledglings?
I had a number of Chickadees here w/ much lower voices and wondered.

Northumberland, United Kingdom(Zone 9a)

Yep, too early for Chickadee fledglings; I'd guess in your area probably early to mid May.

Love the owl pics. Ran the dogs yesterday at the beach and got this shot. A flock of brandts and I think the ducks are [mottled] black ducks.

Awesome pics!!

Around here where one finds Purple Gallinules you also find Common Moorhen.

I also saw several Blue-winged Teal.

The teals were nesting. This nest was built on a stump surrounded by open water. It was very hard to find the nest and see the teal in it.
