Here's a Canada Goose. This one looks like it's losing a feather. Most of the others geese have already flown home.

Last one! I waited and waited; but this pheasant just wouldn't come out of the brush and let me get a good picture of it.

Great pics of the Mockingbird and Meadowlark Rose!

Looks like you had a good time Jane, funny all those Turtles jostling for space!

It was as dull as it gets here today, and a Woodpecker was on the peanut silo but through the window they weren't good, even outside they would have been bad, and it was the wrong way around! It flew to the electricity pole and I got some almost acceptable.

I know how you feel nanny! You got some good shots of the Turkey Vulture.

There was some twittering going on above my head as I was taking a pic of a new tulip open by the wall. I had reduced the EV for that and had to move quick so the pics were very dark but I lightened them. You know what's coming next don't you! This female House Sparrow was on the edge of the guttering.

There was a Jackdaw on the neighbours roof ridge with a stick in it's mouth.

It went to the chimney top, looks like it's been collecting, but the chimney is capped.

He picked up the stick, then they both flew off to the nearby oak.

The one with the paler head (which came after) looks to be placing the stick, now I know where their nest is going to be.

A pair of mallards were swimming happily in the drain along the roadside, there's quite a lot of water in it now. They flew eventually, I scared them trying to take more pics, shame one me! I got a few good ones, the cloud cover must have been good over water!

They went through the tunnel, I got a pic on the other side, they were turning back as I was quite close. On the other side again I frightened them and they flew off, ;~(

This Mockingbird was singing along with another Mockingbird some distance away.....each would repeat what the other one sang, nearly note for note.

Thanks, and yes if I remember to keep a watch for the babes, they have been landing on that tree a lot lately but then I guess that's what crows do, lol. It's at the corner of my neighbour which is near the road, but it's very high. I've never looked out for crow babes before, might be fun!
