When I was in Puerto Rico, I saw several of these type plants/trees. I'd love to know what they are. They look kinda like a Triangle Palm, but have banana-type leaves.

Looks like Travelers Palm, Ravenala madagascariensis http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/2068/
I was about to say that it looked like false bird-of-paradise (Strelitizia) and then I looked at the plantfile for Ravenala and realized that they're related. I guess I'll back ecrane then, because my knowledge of tropical plants is just so-so...

Honestly it could very well be Strelitizia nicolai, they do look very similar. I had Ravenala on my mind since it had been discussed on another recent thread so it was the first thing that jumped into my mind.
