Daily Pics Vol. #85

Marlton, NJ

The Firecrest is a neat bird!

Debin I like your photo of the Goldfinch w/ those pretty pink flowers!

The Ozarks, MO(Zone 5b)

Very cool bird Resin...another new one for me!

Debin...The Goldfinch is gorgeous and I love that little Downy...their eyes are so expressive!

Rockport, TX(Zone 9a)

Resin and Wallaby, I loved seeing your birds. I've never seen any of those before. Resin, I'm impressed that you could get a picture of a Firecrest if it's related to a kinglet. I've tried so many times (including just yesterday) to get a picture of a kinglet.

Sadie, I loved your pics. I was really impressed by the Carolina Wren b/c I've found them really hard to photograph too.

Deb, I thought my goldfinches were long gone and was surprised when they came back! Like you though, I'll only get to enjoy them for a short time.

I had a bunch of Cedar Waxwings today and yesterday, but they just wouldn't cooperate either!

Nice pic Elphaba!

My Cedar Waxwings aren't very cooperative either. Their rarely ever here until 6:30 pm or later! :-)

Mount Pleasant Mills, PA(Zone 5a)

Wow! I never saw a Hooded Warbler or a Firecrest before. Beautiful.

I didn't find the duck nest today. In fact all I got for my efforts was two wet feet and cold!!

Here is a Grackle. Not sure if he is coming or going!

They are not sharing. One is eating the nut bar and the other the suet cake.

As soon as he turns his back I'll pounce on him.

Deb, thanks for the neat picture of that little blob of sunshine - so adorable! I'll bet they're staying south because it's too dang cold up here!

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

Really nice photos evryone! I got nothing today...I got a Barnes & Noble giftcard so I just ordered me the Sibley Field Guide and I can't wait to get it! Got some music to listen to while I look at it. Reba McIntire's 'Duets' & Stevie Nicks Crystal Vision. I believe in diversity!!

I had a great sighting a couple weeks ago during a very cold spell. Two dz. cedar waxwings were feeding on tiny crabapples in our school courtyard.

You guys have very nice birds, Debin, like Pelle mention, that goldfinch is very nice with those bright flowers.
Glad to see, there's more birds out there I haven't seen yet. The Hooded Warbler and Firecrest are sweet.

My Redpolls are still around.

Nice seeing your waxwings OPBirder. I get all excited when I see Waxwings on my crabapple, I'm like a kid, running all over the place for pics. Because they don't stay very long, and it's far in between, before they come back to the tree.

Wow! Super pics here. Love the Crow....I only see them flying over. I have my daily pics to upload. I'll start with an Indigo Bunting.

I have many crows in my neighborhood. They absolutely thrive here. And I love listening to their conversations back and forth across the tree tops, burn. All of your pics have given me some new ideas for bird food. I'll try the nut bar.

Cedar Waxwings. I find these difficult to photograph also. Always hidden in tree branches.

OP: I love your "blob of sunshine" description. :)
Burn: Good one of the "snow Crow"! We have lots of them here, too, but usually waaaaay up in the pine trees.

Adel - Googled the scrub-jay. Bad bird. He doesn't play nice.

Melbourne, FL

The blossom-pickin' female Cardinal was back. Also saw a Hummingbird this morning, but failed to get a picture.
