Rosamond, CA(Zone 8b)

Rosamond, CA(Zone 8b)

It's ok with me but you never added them to the list, in case you forgot. If you changed your mind, that is cool. What about Nights in White Satin?

(Zone 7a)

Paint It Black is 10th from the bottom and Nights...6th from the top of sixties...

Rosamond, CA(Zone 8b)

Oh that is good, they are great songs.

Waterman, IL(Zone 5a)

Your brother is going to be thrilled when he get his gift. Have you designed or thought about a cover for your CD package yet? I'm pretty good with Photoshop and Illustrator if you need any design help.

Diana

(Zone 7a)

Oh, that would be awesome!!! LOL

I was thinking of a cover but I'm challenged in that area. If you could help Diana, that would be nice. I'll d-mail you and then we could post the results?

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

This didn't come out until 1970 but how about 'Lookin' Out My Back Door' by CCR?

You can't beat high-heel wearing statues and flying spoons for druggie music.

Rosamond, CA(Zone 8b)

I had this whole post and it didn't go through. gggrrrrr!

If you are not familiar with The Hair of The dog album from Nazareth, you should sample some of the songs from lime wire. It was probably the premier album of the Acid Rock era, as an album in it's whole. It has that typical trippin sound like The song Whole lot of Love from Zep. The song Hair of the dog is better known as Son of a ____ (Now your messin w/....)

My humble oppinion only

(Zone 7a)

Hmm...I think he'd like some of those songs. Thanks, they're added to the list, Hellnzn11.

Moby, I have a double cd of CCR that I think I'll give him, too.

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

A classic of the era. :)

(Zone 7a)

Absolutely!

(Zone 7a)

Okay, folks. One of you near and dear ones has helped me complete this set for my brother. The Psychedelic set is done. Next are the water songs.

I want to thank each of you who stepped up to help in this project. It'll bring a smile to my brothers face.

Rosamond, CA(Zone 8b)

FANTASTIC. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO HIM!

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

That's great, and the cover work is awesome.

Uhh... I don't want to sound like a jerk but there should be an 'S' instead of the 'H' in pSychedelic.

(Zone 7a)

ROTFLOL OMG

I never noticed! I'll tell him we were...ummm...slightly...ummm...(throat clearing here)...kind of...well..hmmm...

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

Just tell him it was a 'contact high' from all the hippie music. LOL

Waterman, IL(Zone 5a)

Two heads together and still missed the spelling error. It's fixed.

Bolivar, TN(Zone 7a)

A mellow song - Somewhere beyond the sea - Bobby Darin.
Mack the Knife - Bobby Darin.

San Antonio, TX(Zone 8a)

Wow! We must have alot of people in or around the 55-60 range here. I would love to have a copy of that CD. Are you into making another copy? I would make you a nice pine needle basket for a copy. Let me know. Here are some of my baskets.
One ole hippie. I used to live on the corner of Haight street just above the Mom and Pop store down from the corner of Haight and Ashbury in 1968.

(Zone 7a)

D-mail me in a couple of weeks and we'll talk. Those a some pretty neat baskets.

(Zone 7a)

I mean a couple of DAYS. Not weeks. I'll forget what you're talking about! LOL

The first CD is finished. About half of the songs went on it. 20 of them. I'm having trouble with my music downloader. I get my music free form LimeWire and it's acting up for some reason.

Perfect! I missed the pipe-smoking fish the first time around.

Rosamond, CA(Zone 8b)

My lime wire is acting up lately too. My DH's isn't but mine is. He has Vista, I don't. Maybe that is the difference.

San Antonio, TX(Zone 8a)

Okay, Kwanjin, thanks,

Wesley Chapel, FL(Zone 9a)

I was at Woodstock, but I always get the rolling eyes and "Suuuure you were" whenever I tell anybody.

(Zone 7a)

There WERE a lot of people there! Why can't you be one of them? I believe you. ☺ How was it really? I hear stories...

(Zone 7a)

I forgot Life Is A Rock!!! (But the radio rolled me!!!) It's on the list now.

Wesley Chapel, FL(Zone 9a)

My buddy and I spent 2 days hitch-hiking on the New York State Thruway, trying to get there. We were teenagers - we had told our parents we were going to the beach for the weekend - there was no way they were going to give us permission to go to Woodstock.. We slept on the ground, under picnic tables, covering ourselves with newspapers, trying to get out of torrential rains, eating candy bars from vending machines at a rest area. No rides.

Finally we were picked up by a State Trooper on Sunday morning, and he drove us right to the Woodstock exit. The long walk from there to the concert (the road was closed to vehicles), masses of wet, hungry, muddy people begging for food, the good people of Woodstock out on their front lawns selling water for $5 a glass.

I remember coming to the top of a hill, looking down the hill across a sea of thousands of people, with the stage just a small dot at the bottom. I don't remember who was playing. We decided not to navigate our way through the mud and masses of people down the hill. It was late Sunday afternoon - we started asking people for a ride home - we had to get back that day. Incredibly, we found some guys who were driving to a couple of towns away from where we lived (central Mass.), and they agreed to give us a ride if we pitched in for gas. We made it back Sunday night, and our parents had no clue as to where we actually went.

Despite the conditions, the atmosphere was festive, and everybody we talked to was friendly - maybe the constant smell of burning pot had something to do with it.

(Zone 7a)

Pretty neat! So, all in all, did you have a good time?

And...$5.00 a glass?!?!?! That sounds like what people today would do!

Wesley Chapel, FL(Zone 9a)

We were tired, wet, cold, and hungry for most of the weekend, but we were teenagers, and most of that didn't matter much. We were glad we went.

(Zone 7a)

Sounds like fun. (sigh) ☺I wanna cut loose like one day.

Wesley Chapel, FL(Zone 9a)

I don't think I could survive being a teenager again.

(Zone 7a)

I don't know anyone who could! LOL

Rosamond, CA(Zone 8b)

Amen!!!!

(Zone 7a)

I want to thank each of you for your help in this project. I would NOT have been able to get this done without you. Having a dream and a goal is one thing but without help of friends, NOTHING is accomplished.

My dowbload problem is fixed and I'm in the process of finishing this.

Again, THANK YOU!!! Much fun was had and I know he'll enjoy every minute of these CDs.
