I'm watching the Red Sox/Athletics opening season game. It's exciting! The Sox just went ahead in the 10th, 6 - 4.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

WC - were you thinking of Absinthe?

Medway, MA(Zone 5b)

Sox just won 6-5.

Greensboro, AL

I saw a memorable film on TCM last night. The actors were all dogs.

There was a big black poodle with an Afro and who had a bone in his nose.

One segment was about the Afri Cur. (Africa Corps?)

There were the laughing hyenas ... just mutts from the local pound but they sure were laughing!

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

What was the movie named?

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Yes pirl the flavoring is wormwood,... ☺

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Just heard a program about that on Sunday, WC.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

So they were absinthe-minded artists?

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Oh no! Poor Victor. It's gone to his head.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Seems the trend started early... I hope Da Vinci and Michaelangelo were more level headed, I really like their work. I'd hate to think all my icons were on 'cloud nine'☺

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Mmmmm, love Da Vinci and Michaelangelo... drool, drool..

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

my kinda conversation.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Da Vinci liked to wear women's clothes. Michaelangelo painted as a front. He was mafia.

O.K. I looked up this information. Ive seen these dogs in a film before and then I lost the information. The last one was a "wedding" and a romantic story all performed by dogs.

Last night, Mar. 24 the feature film on TCM was "Trader Horn" with Harry Carey filmed in 1931. The dog movie was a 15 minute short film called "Trader Hound" and it was also filmed in 1931. Obviously made to go with the film "Trader Horn". There are a very large group of dogs, and the main group walk around on 2 legs. There was also a monkey and a "giraffe", but the giraffe was obviously a costume supported by human actors. The remainder of the cast was entirely dogs.

I laughed so hard I could hardly follow the story.

Greensboro, AL

Michaelangelo. I suppose he spent all that time on the ceiling of the Cistene Chappel 'hiding' out from the other mafioso.

And how do YOU know so much about the mafia, Mr. Pitchfork Man?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Half Italian. (and half nelson)

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

DaVinci had curly hair, too, Victor.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

On his chest, I've heard.

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

Actually I never saw his chest.

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

So then Da Vinci wore the style that was called 'A Macaroni'. ☺

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Trader Hound from 1931! Sounds great Gloria!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

And he invented the macarena!

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Miami would dispute that... ☺

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

I'll say!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Da Vinci invented everything.

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

EXCEPT the Macarena.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Don't be so sure. He even did break-dancing - while in women's clothes.

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

He played the harp, too.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

In women's clothes?

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Well you know what they say... 'A man is only as old as the woman he feels' . ☺

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Groucho?

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

Groucho. ☺

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

I dunno about Da Vinci, but Michaelangelo used all male models, even for the female images. He'd dress them in women's clothes.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Da Vinci most likely used himself as the model for Mona Lisa.

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

Victor that is such an old rumor.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Ever see the 'morph' of the faces? Pretty funny since they start with an old Da Vinci.
