bettydee ...fantastic info thanks mate!

This is what I call a flush!!
chrissy, you're welcome. I'm trying to keep busy. We're getting thunderstorm cells coming in in waves and are on tornado watch until 7 this evening. I can hear the thunder of another approaching cell.
Wow Betty, thanks for the info and the links!
Well first of all I hope the weather did not bash everyone around too much ...we have had a big rain again and dropped from 88F down to 60F and it is very dark and wet outside ...so my pictures are dark.
I wanted to show you my 4ft green sucker shoot cutting ...it has been in two days and is away ...thanks bettydee for those threads ...I have been growing all sorts of green bits and been successful ... however I never thought it possible to grow a shoot that long. It had been hiding behind a bunch of leaves and it got away from me! Well I now have a happy tall green shoot shooting in my pot :)
chrissy, great photos.

I am GREEN with envy!
Holly Molly. I'm putting that Isabella on my want list!
Wow! You wouldn't want to trade for a Passion Flower vine or some Christmas Cactus would you? Or both?
Gary,
I can't see how I missed this thread. She is just "Holy Cow" eye popping sight. I can't believe how beautiful that is. Envious here.
I hope I can get some good flushes this year.
Now I have to have Isabella on my list.
Definately oh my gosh. Do you have any problems with wilting in the heat and humidity?
I get some wilt during the day but they perk right up at sunset and fill the neighborhood with sweet perfume. I also have a nice flush going on in the yard with Painted Lady,Emily Mckenzie and Pink Charm. People say they can smell them from down the block if the wind is right.

Gary, the color is gorgeous. Is this one that colors best in cool weather? My Velvet Rose never colored up darker than a pale pink.
The color of Velvet Rose is just so beautiful!
Betty, I don't know how to answer that because it has been very hot here lately. Even during the winter though I had great color on Velvet Rose for some of her flushes, at other times I get the pale color too. Hang in there with her and feed her a lot. The color will come. I have to admit though that this is some of the best color I have seen on this one and all winter she is never without flowers. Sometimes just a bloom or two but she always has something on her. I have used this one quite a bit this year in hybridizing. This year my seeds all came in late so I won't be selling seeds on ebay until june or so, but I have some really exciting crosses with lots of the new cultivars coming up for sale soon.
