well I go away for a few days and you guys post way too many gorgeous tulips to
comment on.

Jmorth - that fringed purple one is quite pretty!

Neal - those peristroika (and something) are such nice soft colors of yellow & redish/orange.
Just lovely. The hillside is actually quite nice this year. I'm really pleased. I'll weed it tomorrow
and get some new photos.

Beahive- those koi are really pretty! thank you for posting them here. They fit perfectly
with the other beauties.

Thanks, Tammy! There are lots of colors swirled together in Perestroyka, and it keeps changing- I'm just loving them!

I've taken tons of pics of them to try and capture the changes.

Recently saw Perestroyka at a tulip festival.. It is a striking tulip!
This picture does not do it justice! The rows & rows of these went on & on..
Almost neon in person. I have ordered some for next year..Can't wait!

gem and beahive, you are 'Wowing!' us again with your tulips! When will it ever stop!?!

Thanks, t! I've only got one more variety budding, so the show's just about over here for this year. These were labeled as a red Darwin Hybrid, I think Red Apeldoorn, but I believe they're some kind of Triumph tulip. I've enjoyed they way each bulb has produced a number of different size blooms.

The white ones here are Maureen, a Single Late variety, but the yellow I'm pretty sure was mislabeled. It was supposed to be a Darwin Hybrid, I think Golden Apeldoorn, but has bloomed later than the other Darwin Hybrids here, and hasn't shown their typical big, goblet blooms, or the expected shiny, black base. Since they've colored up alongside Maureen, I think its probably a Single Late variety as well, which since the color was right, is fine by me. This garden spot is in progress:

And stunning with the Thalia (?)!

Winchester, KY(Zone 6a)

I'm loving those together! I can't remember the name of the daff, but you were very close! It's a double sport of Thalia (the cups are full of petals).

'Calgary'? Mine hasn't quite bloomed... was getting close before the rain yesterday & today, so maybe tomorrow?
