That's a delicious tulip aggie!

T. iliensis. It's tiny, but so sweet.

Neal, you would like the foliage on these, it's cupped, curved, wriggly, and pointed! I haven't taken a full pic of it but will do.

you know, i do think my NOID double looks like that Monsella as Chris suggested. i just noticed all the dirt on the pink and white double in posted above, please forgive the mess, we got 2.25 inches of rain in a couple of hours. did a lot of damage to my daffs and tulips! :(

Ooohh, T. iliensis is sweet indeed!

Lincoln, United Kingdom(Zone 8a)

The pot of T. iliensis, there's 5 with 3 in flower, one has 2 buds and the other has 3.

In the pot with them is 1 Narcissus nobilis, I got two but one rotted and they are expensive! I should maybe have given them a pot of their own and put them in the greenhouse, hoping the one survives and multiplies.

Little Princess is gorgeous aggie!

T. iliensis was fully open in the sun this morning, such a bright yellow inside..

Wallaby, that T.iliensis is great, but I can't find out much about it on the web. Is it a new species? It reminds me of T. sylvestris.
These Tulipa clusiana 'Lady Jane' have started blooming.

These T. tarda closed before I had a chance to take a picture of them open! It's amazing how quickly they change.

claypa, this is what miniaturebulbs says about T. iliensis,

"iliensis - Native of Kazakhstan. - Elegant lemon flowers with orange on the exterior. There is also a hint of green at base of the petals. This colour contrast is unique. It is greatly admired when shown. April flowering. Classic shape Good in the garden, rockery or pots. Ht. 8in (20cm) "

I don't know where the orange comes in as their pic looks much like mine.

http://www.miniaturebulbs.co.uk/acatalog/tulipa_sp2.html

My gosh, you have lots of bulbs in flower there!

And your Lady Jane looks like my Tinka, so I guess I must have Lady Jane as it doesn't look like Tinka, but I love it anyway! Mine were wide open today, it was dull but the sun had been shining. I have another 3 about to open in a less sunny spot.

Funny, yours were closed in dull, mine wereopen, but they will ahve closed later. I wonder if the time of day or length of sun or age makes a difference to them opening or not as this is the first time I have seen them open fully and we had lots of sun yesterday.

T. tarda is gorgeous too! I hope I ordered that one, lol, must check. No I didn't! Maybe they haven't got it, now I want it, lol.

I think these were supposed to be whites and soft lilac/purples. The middle is very interesting, but I haven't a clue what it is.

That must have been fun BeaHive!

This is one which was already here and returns faithfully every year.

it was great fun and most relaxing..just wish I left my teen daughter at home. She does not have the passion for flowers & such that I have. She was in a hurry to see her friend who works their as a cashier in the flower shop. Sure wish I had some more land. I would put in tulip fields next to my acres of roses. (after I win the lottery of course!!)
Wallaby That is a beautiful red tulip. Do you know the name?

Lincoln, United Kingdom(Zone 8a)

Lol, more land always seems like a dream, but more work too!

I think I found the name of the Tulip on Langevelds, but the site has a notice saying the site is unavailable. I posted it on here maybe last year if I can find it.

if I won the lottery I could employ people to help me!! It would be good for the economy!! Ahhh Dreams...

I so want red tulips! Definitely going on my fall order.

My first tulips came up last week. This warm weather is not
good on their longevity though... good thing I have a sequence
of tulip bloom. :-)

Not a great picture. I was focussed on capturing the corner
garden, not the tulips.

Wonderful tulip displays everyone!

claypa, thats a gorgeous mass planting!

Tammy, I commented on how beautifully your hill is developing each year on the daff thread, but I think above is the pic I had in mind. Anyhow, great job! Do you grow any species tulips? Mine seem to be a bit less attractive to critters than the hybrids. There is one I think you may like, T.linifolia, that is a bright, coral-red and one of my favorites.

jmorth, I love 'Alba Coerulea Oculata'! So cool to see blue in a tulip. I'd like some for my sky garden, but have been too cheap to invest in them, LOL. Kicking myself for not getting them before they got so pricey!

Seems a bit early for them, but my blend of 'Perestroyka' and 'Blushing Lady' are blooming:
