Stop and visit, talk all you want. Pt 19

(Zone 7a)

I fell asleep on the couch. AGAIN!!! Sorry. It's kind of stressful around here, as you can probably guess. ☺

And now it's...ahem...snowing. I haven't seen snow in these parts for...oh...going on two weeks. MY, that's a long time! How will I make it?

Good morning all!
Celia, I can only imagine all your stress, but hoping it will all be better soon!

Dear Princess Kathy is changing our game to where we don't have to use the :oP anymore, but we will have to tell one of the Miss LIW's that we love them! :)

(Zone 7a)

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

That is the Ladies in Waiting. So I will have to say something like-I love you Miss Robbi, along with addressing our Dear Princess Kathy. :oP

May Princess Kathy share her dragonflies with me to get rid of my mosquitoes!

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Celia, I will try to get some pics soon, promise! :oP

(Zone 7a)

Wow...is all I have.

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Yes Mau, I will try to member that flyswatter! :oP Shaun had showed that to me and I THOUGHT I had posted it here, but guess that is what I get for thinking, it hurts too bad! LOL It even brought a tear to his eye when he seen it. :)

Love you Princess Kathy

(Zone 7a)

Good morning, everyone! It's sunshiny but there are high clouds out there. Not much but they say rain and snow later.

Enjoy the weekend!

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Good morning all! It is kinda yuck outside here as well, so prob no outside work today. Hope you all have a good one!

All my love to Miss Rachael and Princess Kathy

Isabella, MO(Zone 6b)

Good morning, everyone! Whoops, it's afternoon now.
Celia, something is getting ready to bloom--what is that in the photo?

It's kinda yuck outside here, too. Overcast and gloomy but no rain. 56º but feels colder to me. Pau and I went to the local feed store to get some horticultural cornmeal for my roses but they were out--should have some by next week. Then we made our "tour" around H.D. --they are starting to get in more spring plants but we didn't get anything today. Then we went to Waffle House and ate breakfast( a friend calls it the "awful waffle"--LOL). That was the extent of our exciting morning! LOL

I posted this on the weather forum this morning. I just think it is a neat photo because the background looks so dark but it was just barely dusk when I took it yesterday. This is a flowering plum.

Hi, everyone!

Mau, that is my dwarf weeping cherry, "Snow Fountains". It's 4 feet tall and blooms every year in May for about 2 weeks. I lost all my pics, so, I'll get more this year.

It snowed, it rained, it snowed and is snowing now. Luckily, nothing is sticking. We're headed to Pier 1 and dinner. (Not at Pier 1. I don't think they serve food. ☺)

We had rain last night which washed all the gravel off the roads and cleared the potholes, then this morning we had snow for awhile. No accumulation though. Then that quit and it misted for awhile longer.

What a great pic of the sky!!

Isabella, MO(Zone 6b)

Beautiful pic, Celia--you should post it over on the weather thread! I love to browse through Pier One. Only I just "look" these days because I really don't "need" anything they have. If I bought something else, I would have to get rid of something I already have! LOL
I planted some sunflower seeds one day this week and one of those little plants is already about 3 inches tall, but then sunflowers are supposed to be tall, aren't they? LOL I am so eager to plant all my seedlings outside but I don't dare, just yet. We haven't reached our last frost date yet. Last year we had a killing frost the last part of April, which is very unusual.

Rain, snow, rain, snow--it can't make up its mind, huh, pepper?

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

Nope. lol. That's why I'm not planting anything outside yet. I know better. I do have my jasmine outside but if we get really cold I can bring it in since it's not used to that yet.

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Celia, beautiful picture!!!! Hi everyone!

Hi Princess Kathy!
Love to Miss Robbi!

(Zone 7a)

Thanks, girls! I love that pic, too. I think I will post it on the Weather forum. This was from last June after a storm.

And I'm so excited! We got the bedroom set we've been wanting for the last three years. We'll pick up some tomorrow and the rest will be delivered next Friday. We got the headboard, 6 drawer dresser, 8 drawer chest, 2 night stands and the bench and cushion.

Isabella, MO(Zone 6b)

Good morning everyone! Have a great day!

A very pretty set, Celia--buying new furniture is almost as good as buying more flowers/shrubs, etc! LOL You'll have to take pictures once you get everything arranged in your bedroom so we can see it "in person". ☺☺☺

(Zone 7a)

Good morning, everyone!

Absolutely, Mau. I can't wait. We have some running around to do today. Brother Doug needs a few things so we'll deliver them. mom needs some things so we'll deliver THEM. Grocery shopping, returning a rug we got...You know, weekend stuff.

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Good morning all!!! Beautiful set, Celia! We bought a new bed frame the other day and DH is gonna build the head board for me. :) Hope you all have a wonderful rest of the weekend!

All the love to Princess Kathy and Miss Rachael

My weekend has been decent. Had to work today but got off 30 min early since we skipped lunch. Had to redo the shop floors today since there was nobody there.

The other thing I had to do was set up my new printer. I messed up on the placement of the cartridges so had to call a cuz to help with that and we finally got it out. Now so far it works and it works correctly. lol.

Now am watching Extreme Makeover.

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

I just had to share this with all of you! This is Brandon and his portrait of himself that he is doing for Art Class. The teacher is only giving him a B for right now because she wants every little nook and cranny of what is in the picture! He was getting irritated with it so I told him to put it up for now.

All My love to Princess Kathy and Miss Rachael!

Isabella, MO(Zone 6b)

Good morning, all!
Tammy, tell Brandon that this is one "granny" that thinks he has done an absolutely wonderful job on his self-portrait and his teacher must be "looney tunes" (well, don't tell him that part about his teacher being looney-tunes--LOL). Does she not realize how hard it is to draw human faces? Brandon did an absolutely amazing job of re-creating himself on paper! That's my story and I'm sticking to it and if I were the teacher, Brandon would have an A+! So there!

Pau and I had a good week-end. We had a friend over for breakfast yesterday and then later we went to Lowe's. Someone on the rose forum had said they found a Disneyland Rose at the Lowe's in her area. I wanted to go see if our nearby Lowe's had one, but they did not. However, we did get 12 roses: 3 climbers and 9 bushes in various colors, so I was pleased about that. We will put them out sometime this week--probably after the rainstorms that are expected tonight and tomorrow.

Y'all have a good day.

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

LOL Thanks, Mau! Brandon already knows his teacher is Looney Tunes, but I'll be sure not to tell him! :oP She wants ALL the intricacy of the picture itself included in the drawing, but he lost his patience, so I wanted him to quit before he got mad! LOL

Love to Miss Traci and Princess Kathy

(Zone 7a)

Good morning, everyone. I had to work an overnight shift last night. It wasn't all night, though. Huh...

Anyway, Tammy? Tell Brandon he gets an A+++++++++++++...from me, as well. That is a marvelous talent your boy has.

Mau, good luck on finding that rose. I had to look it up and I htink I might have to get one, too.

Pepper, I LOVE "Home Makeover"! I don't remember it's on, sometimes, and miss it. AndI don't get off early 'cuz we skipped lunch! I'm jealous! LOL Good thing you got the printer working. We're still having difficulties with ours.

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

He Celia! I will be sure to let him know, and THANKS!!!

Howdy everyone! Decided it was time to join the world once again.

So anyway....raining here. Supposed to rain all night, tomorrow and even on Wed we're supposed to have a snow/rain mix. Such fun..LOL

Tammy!!! That boy certainly does get an A+++++++++++++++++. He's in what grade and drawing like that? His teacher sure asks a lot of her students. That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it.

HI Celia, HI Mau, HI pepper!!!

Mau, never heard of the Disneyland Rose, but that's not saying much seeing how long it's been since I've bought a rose. Or paid attention to roses other than a native to IL one LOL Or the nasty invasive multi-flora rose, I know that one well. It's another I've been cutting out of my dads woods for 3 yrs now.

Celia, is that all you do girl? Work??

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Hey Terry! Its about time you came back to us!!!! Thanks for the compliment on his pic, he deserves more than she is giving, that is sure!!!

Oh the dreaded multiflora rose! LOL I want a climbing rose for the trellis I got from our Dear Shirley's house.

Love to Miss Robbi and Princess Kathy

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

Am watching Dancing with the Stars and I can't vote. GRRRRR!! Their site is so busy it won't load the voting page and I prefer to vote that way.

Terry!!!!!!! About time you joined the world of loonies again!! LOL.

I have thought about getting a rose for here but I wouldn't know where to put it and I really hate the thorns on them. I have enough thorns to deal with thanks to locust trees.

Tammy, A+++++++++++++++++++++++ from me too!!

Oh and my favorite dancer on DWTS is Jeremey Hough. He has the moves!!

Thanks Amanda! He will be happy to know the grade everyone here has given him! :)

pepper, I sure didn't need to come back here to join up with loonies, I do that all in my own head LOL

My mom had climbing roses and so did my grandma. They all reverted back to whatever the rootstock was. And they weren't pretty. That's zone 5 though, don't know what they do in warmer climates. I had some red roses, floribunda or some such thing. They did the same thing. For 2 years I had beautiful red roses and suddenly I had these sick pink looking ones. yuck. If you've got the room, there's some pretty cool native roses. Those will be put in my dads woods. For here, from what I know, they get 2 wide, too big, too everything. Hmm....could form a barricade of sorts on the street side with them! mwwhahahahahaha!!

Saint James, MO(Zone 6b)

Guess we all need to just meet up at the Looney Bin then! HA HA HA

I am gonna give a climbing rose a shot cause they might do differently here. I know another place about an hour away from here that has several that were absolutely gorgeous this past Fall. A barricade from Neighbors is what I want, but not with the roses! LOL Although, well, best not say! HA HA HA

I love Miss Beckie

All hail Princess Kathy
