My basement sump pump has a discharge pipe which shoots water onto my garden, only a few feet from the house. I am trying to re-route the water away from the house and was wondering if I could hold it in a rainbarrel to use later? This is a flower garden only, no edibles.
Can I use sump pump water in garden?
sure. i don't know why not
Sounds like a smart idea to me.
I already do, with no harmful effects at all. It's just fresh rainwater that has been intercepted as it percolates down to the water table.
