Dwarf orange tree not looking good

Tucson, AZ

I just bought this dwarf Valencia Orange tree and put it in a container. For soil, I used a mixture of sandy soil from my grounds, Miracle grow soil for cactus, citrus and palms and 1" rocks at the bottom of the container. Nearly 1 hour later, my tree already isn't looking too good. The leaves are curling in on themselves. I did water it, but made sure not to over water it. Any advice?

It's just a little transplant shock. It will probably be okay in a day or so. You may want to keep it out of direct sun for a day or so.The next time you transplant, use a little Super Thrive in your first watering or similar transplant B vitiamin preparation

I also wouldn't use any garden soil in your container--even if your soil is somewhat sandy it might still be too heavy for the container. You're best off using a soilless mix, either one you make yourself or a pre-mixed one that you can buy. I agree that it's probably just transplant shock though.
