Termites

It's a horrible word in the wood world but my fig tree has them!!! I noticed little holes and "sawdust" around areas where my fig tree had been topped.

What can I do to save the tree! I have already lost the most delicious plum tree to those horrible creatures not to mention a fence. Is there anything that can be used to kill the bugs but not the tree? HELP!
