I have a 6 feet high purple sage. I want to know if i can prune it now or is it to late.
Purple sage
Do you know which kind of sage it is and/or can you provide a picture? If it's some type of Salvia it should be fine to prune it right now; at worst you would just delay the blooms a little bit. But, without knowing more about the plant you have, it's impossible to advise you properly.
It is a Texas sage plant.
I'm not that familiar with Leucophyllum but from what I can gather, it shouldn't affect this year's blooms if you prune it now. It may, however, delay the bloomtime by a few weeks.
