Bec's not always the "iron maiden" from Norway---Just give her a kitten, and she is all putty....
This was Jill's new kitty cat. She would run around like an idiot--and then just crash.
Behind her you can see part of Jill's counter which was creaking-full of all kinds of food. Man! Did we EAT!!!!!!
Vent- I'm tired of being good listener
Oh gosh...That is so funny about your drink Gita...Thank you for sharing the picture of Sally.
...Gasp hope no chest hair was found...hehhe.
I am just so pleased you have such a wonderful time. Love hearing stories...and seeing pictures too...
Now, now...you asked why i thought you were speed typing and I said why...was giggling about it too....You got to remember you sort & I toss seeds, So if you call me Just Judy, makes me think i upset you and i was not trying to.
...And I look forward to seeing you pictures.
Now lets hug and make up!!
your friend...Seedtosser1, ST1, Seed, Seed Sorter, Judy, Just Judy...call me whichever you like LOL, you can even call me Brat.
Seed--
Pray tell-------WHAT do we need to make up for??????? Nothing I know about......
.............................:o)
Gita
Ok then, me either.
Enjoyed your pictures, you ladies look like it was blast! The kitten adorable.
...So how come I don't see a picture Gita, "nursing" her drink?? LOL
..cause i was the one with the camera--DAH! If any one else took pictures, they have not posted them. That is the problem with digital cameras. We all use them--abuse them--and then forget what we took a picture of. Pretty soon the photo album will become extinct!
If you want to see a decent picture of me--click on my name and go to the bottom. That was taken 2 years ago and I was all dressed up for a fancy dinner....
G.
Next time hand over you camera to someone..LOL I finally started doing that cause i too am the Photographer...
I have looked on your name...You are a very pretty woman...finally added my picture too.
Hi Seedtosser~
My son got his first job last summer- I have a PTA-friend whose brother owns a pizza/ sub sit down restaurant. I figured I would like son's first job to be with a boss I has some clue about. And son liked the idea of pizza. It has worked out well. But my friend had also worked with two other stores in that company so I probably should have asked him if they were nice guys, cuz those stores would have been closer to home. No biggie, but my moral is, networking- I should have asked around a bit. Moral #2 is, double check if no means no. when we called the store the first time, the girl who answered said- no jobs. But since we knew the owner's bro, we got in the door and the guy said- Yeah, I need to start a bunch of new people for end of summer when the college kids go back.
Now the artist- we had a girl in the neighborhood who did pen and ink of your pet photos for some $$. cool gift idea.
Now the baby of our families are boys--how will he ever not be my baby doll in some way?? at the moment my baby doll is blasting the living bejeezus out of some virtual computerized bad guys- hee hee
The crazy day went OK. The two jobs- DH had to go in (rare on a Saturday thankfully) and 17 son had his. I just lay on the sofa and eat bon bons all day . when not listening to the phone ~~
I just added my picture to my page- go see me.
Are you the one with your eyes covered? Too cute!!! ☺
thats me!!
Very Cute, Sally.
Not feeling so great..so kind of short today.
Too cute about your lil guy. I feel the same way. Don't know they will ever be considered grown! So you got the Computer games things, LOL what kids doesn't these days..My lil guy rescued his game box from the trash and fixed it!!
But his Favorite thing to d is drive me Crazy with Wrestling . Tosses his stuffed jumbo animals around like they were on WWW, whatever.OH Man!
So how are you today? LOL hey, have one of them BonBons for me!
check in later.
Hi Brat ~~~
Hope you're feeling better today. I was kind of busy yesterday. I am trying very hard to write my first article to submit to DG. I would be thrilled if it gets accepted. I will earn about $1 an hour on this one though. Surprised at how much work tis been, but that should get better.
I think your baby is starting to feel his big boy hormones. I couldn't believe, a long time ago, I visited a friend with a 12 yr old boy. He came home from baseball practice and went right out to shoot hoops in the driveway. I said - " is this normal?" how about sacking out on the sofa with a movie? LOL Maybe I should find mine a jumbo animal. He takes some of his roughness out on the real animals. Not mean, but plays rough and gets hurt sometimes, deserving it.
This is an easy day- all three kids actually coming home from school, no activities. Rain last night, very wet out, but sunny. Good day to upload pictures. These guys should be in full bloom today or in the next couple.
hahaha, You called?
...What a beautiful site! Um are those Crocus??
Still have lots of snow and more coming, big big bummer. I have just a few crocus I think..(do they grow in white??)...Rescued some bulbs from a neighbors house before it got torn down....hmmm, thought I had a picture, must be in my old computer.
Anyway, how exciting you are Writing an Article for DGN!! Want to give a little hint on what it's about??
LOL far as lil men ar concerned, not sure about anyone elses but mine has more energy to burn then our entire family. He gets up at 6:30 goes to bed at 10:30!! This morning was late so my day started out rushing him to school, then returning to get DD#2 to school and myself to work, Hahaha, one big happy circle.
My DD#1 said that interview was a group thing...it's for a pet store and she loves animals so I hope she gets the job. Nice you son got a job, always good to know who they are working with. DD, had three but either she didn't like the job or lost interest, girls...geesh. All i got to say is if she wants to keep her car...she'll get a job...Excuse my meaness again, LOL
Now, my artist...Well, lets just say she has her in the mood days...Biggest drama queen, hahha, got to love her tho.
So you already have plants coming up...I didn't know it was so warm there.
I am "sick" with envy.
Am feeling much better today thanks...Well got to get back to work!
Have a great day.
Hey Celia...Bet Sally will share her BonBons, they are chocolate.
Your new found Brat(smiles)
Oh and GITAGAL!!! "HAPPY BIRTHDAY"
Waaaa!!! I don't eat chocolate. Bad for my tummy. Maybe I'll sneak one, anyway.
Whahhhh, pouting toooo!
OOHH..Kaay So iam so sure Mom /Sally here has some cheerios!!! Yummy!@!!!
Swwet dreams!
I can have Cheerios. ☺
You don't want anything from me right now--I am a bit stanky from trying to do the most hedge trimming I can in an hour-between playing with the dog and this article. It takes awhile (or takes ME) to learn how to put the pictures in where you want and get all the words just so...but not impossible. .I am writing about the humble garlic chives.
Those are crocus- early ones called Tomasinianus. My regular bigger crocus are not quite there, and yes they come in white. Hate to tell you, it is a pretty day here and it looks like another practically snowless winter for us. We are overdue for some real snow, but my mom and MIL and lots of other folks must be praying harder than me for NO snow.
Time for shower- DH going to a retirement dinner so I get to 'make' pizza for dinner with kids, ahhh.
Hey Sally,
Wow, godo time to prune the bushes, glad your tackle is over? Heheh, feel better all clean?
Ahhh, the favorite easy to cook meal, Pizza.LOL especially if you order out.
...one day i am going to learn how to make one. (now raise your eybrow and say
uh yeah).
So Your writing is coming along slow, hey thats ok...some the best article are written over a period of time. I guess you weren't kidding about making 1 dollar an hour by time you done...too cute. Well I think sometimes one has to concider satisfaction for good piece is sometime all we need. So what paragraph are you on?? hehhe, just a little tease there.
I enjoy writing, however Don't usually get the bug until Fall. Not to mention I have to be inspired by something. So Will enjoy reading your article when done...So make sure to let us know when your done, ok?
So what's up for your weekend? Got alot of running with kids?
Seed---
You are "singing my song".....I need to be inspired to do anything! Fear of "failure" and not doing things "perfectly" keeps me from doing many things in my life. NOT in my every day life--but I sure would not want to venture out and write an article for DG. For one--I could never figure out how to post all the pictures and the references required. Can't even think of an topic I would ever write about...except the LOVE I feel for Gardening....
Sally--
I commend you on taking the "leap"! Dying to read your article! I know it will be great.....
I, generally, feel humbled by all the knowledge out here on DG.
Oh, I have knowledge--but it is more of the non-scientific kind. Just general gardening advice--gleaned from experience. Pruning--planting--transplanting--fertilizing--propagating--spraying for this and that--lawn care--and--mostly--Houseplants--and all related issues to them. That IS my forte!
That is what I have worked at for the last 20 years or such.
I am always happy to learn more as I read all of the informative articles here.
Gita
I'm nodding my head up and down
sometimes I smile, sometimes I frown
I hear your story, beginning to end
as day after day my ear you bend.
I've heard of your aches from head to toe
when you finish your rants you have to go
Since I never was able to get a word in
I thought I'd just write you, now to begin...
In 1986 when you got your first cat
I didn't know where my son was at
He was reported then as an M.I.A.
They haven't found him to this day.
When you were talking about your dry skin
I was unemployed and about to begin
the nightmare of job hunting at my age
I was full of angst, anger and rage.
My husband left me in 1992
for a gal who was 22
She dumped him in 2004
bag and baggage back at my door!
There are so many things I could tell
but I really think it would be swell
if you'd listen at least as much as you speak
and remember to ask ... how was MY week?
The facts are fiction but make my point
Please don't get your nose out of joint
I'd love to share my life stories too
Please give me a minute after I listen to you!
Go on and vent.... I'm listening~
zanymuse----Did you write that yourself??????
It is awesome!!! Good Poetry!
I know.....I know.......Gita
Inspired by sallyg's vent ;~)
Zaney,
This poem, is incrdibly powerful! Thank you. Did you write it?
Celia, how's your day going? Got plenty o cheerios for you!
Gita, you know i truley beleive it's the artist in you! Me too! All of us. One way or another we are
family! One within the Earth.
Sallyg(irl) hows your day going?
Yes, I couldn't resist writing that in response to Sallyg's post. It is an all too familiar situation these days.
I am so estatic to hear you say this! Wrote this tonight?
dunno what else to say.
Seedtosser1, I am at work but there isn't anything happening and I stumbled on to this thread. That masterpiece of mine took at least 10 minutes to write... add the 1/2 hour to read the thread and I still have 2 hours of boredom before I can go home. TGIF!
Oh Z!
Wish I could even think as fast as you type...rolf!
LOL and I wish I could type as fast as I think! 2 fingers work while the rest laze about.
Hey, Seed, doing well. DYING for Cheerios, though! LOL ☺
Cute little poem, Zany.
haqhah, think, my girl is the same, just said something to me in about 20 seconds! couldn't even imagine typing it.
hehhe...Anyways, What is your "not" doing for work? I mean it is Friday, Lol.
HI Celia,
Cheerios it is then..Cheers! Can you have Honey C's?
I do, and I have the ones with the yogurt on them.
I work as a weighmaster for a lumber company and electric power plant. Everything is dead on friday nights.
Cheerios sound mighty tasty about now. I like to eat the honey nut like popcorn.
Wightmaster??? Got to love fiday night! LOIL sounds like my Friday days...Great to write, draw..aww even daydream, Cool
Wish our Friday nights were dead! LOL I work retail security. Weekends are nuts. 'Cuz that's when they come out!
Celia, Sssounds like quite the challange. Sure don't have to say You Be Careful!! Right?
kwanjin, I remember weekends in retail...Yikes can people go nuts!
A weighmaster weighs trucks and issues certified scale tags. Pretty easy now that things have gone conputerized. It gets frantically busy at times but lately it has been very quiet and I have thought about taking up knitting or crocheting again.
I tried to write a book but after a couple of rough drafts for the first couple of chapters I realized I was wasting my time...even I was not bored enough to read it!
Well, I have an hour to go and need to go out and feed the mill cats before they starve. I see several of them laying out in the grass waiting.
I hope you all have a grand weekend.
You too Zaney...nice to meet you
gnight.
Zany- That is fantastic. I wasn't sure at first if you were just poetically telling your life story...
Seedtosser- Well, this hedge trimming job is on the installment plan Drastic cutting. As in, pruning saw and loppers action. Taking it way back- I want it to sprout from down low. So I am taking big hunks, enough to fill three yard waste trash cans, then wait for them to take it. Then cut and dig back some of the dirt thats overflowing on their concrete. Boy, this sounds like a lot of work! But the bushes are technically part of my yard, and those neighbors have been OK to us, so I feel like I should take care of this.
And with the price we just paid for heating oil and everything else lately LOL, I decided to really make the pizza- Turned out OK. but does have room for improvement!!! the 10 bucks or so I saved helped justify the 80 I spent yesterday on some good Clarks 'privo' shoes. boy I am set for shoes awhile.
This article writing- well its both harder and easier than I thought. When you are ready, you get into sort of a template that you can paste your writing into for most of it, and tools and help things for putting pictures in. Now that I know a little, I'll be quicker next one. Had to be persistant tho. OTOH, reading and writing andthinking about plants is one of my favorite things so...Anyway--- I have seen a few minor mistakes is posted articles, and the schedule of what he wants to do -six a day- looked near wide open so I figured what the hey? and critterologist has been really helpful.
And I don't look at the articles as a-be all info, just as something to get people to read and entice them to Dave's Garden.
Gita -LOVE of gardening is a worthy and appropriate topic!
So what's everybody up to on Saturday? Gita nd I are pretty much stuck inside with rain- Soaking wet here.
LOL the part about the 22 year old dumping my ex back at my door did happen many years ago but he didn't so much as get his foot back inside ;~)
I love reading all the articles now and really admire those of you who are taking up the challenge of writing them.
edited for spelling error. (you'd think that I'd use spell check before posting but I often forget!)
