Could this be frost damage? It got down into the 20s here last night.
Mustard Greens Frost Damage?
I also have some turnips that have the same problem. I'm not sure if they were on the dry side last night.
Okay, when do you usally plant them?
Dean,
My brocolli and lettuce looks about the same. The only thing that doesn't look zapped are the onion sprouts. We had a hard freeze in Hutto, too.
I hope they come out okay like Farmerdill, says. I haven't harvested anything, yet.
Dean,
How did your plants recover from the freeze? All of mine, except for the onions were completely killed by the freeze. This was my first time trying winter/spring vegetables...I'll have to try again. I didn't have anything to cover the rows with, so that looks like an essential for next year. At this point it's only a few weeks until time to start the tomatoes, so I guess I may try more lettuce, but the spinach and broccoli will have to wait for the fall.
David
The Mustard Greens and Turnips are coming back, okay. I know this is my first time planting a winter garden too. I know I'm ready for tomatoe time. My lettuce is fine and still growing.
