this bohemian waxwing is sitting in the top of my backyard willow. and yes, the blue sky background is a fantastic backdrop for this bird!

Nice picture ritapg. I didn't see any Waxwings when I was in Seward on Sunday, is the picture recent.

Nothing that says it has to be taken today . . you can post pics taken any time in the past. Might be a good idea to say when it was taken though, if not very recent, perhaps something like this:

I never knew exactly when to start watching for hummingbirds here in NM so this morning I did a Google search and the first site I came upon said the last week of February! That is NOW! The feeder is now in the tree. I wonder when to expext the Orioles.
Here is my favorite hummer photo from last year - Sept 8, 2007. The hummer was just landing.

There has not been much going on at the feeders today for some reason. It is far to cold & windy for me to go walking today and I have an ear and sinus infection, soo am trying to be good and stay in.

I am aren't I Mrs_Ed LOL. I don't get many variety of birds, so I post the amounts I have of one species :0).

This guy looks like he is getting new feathers for spring.

Hope you are feeling better Nanny...I am enjoying the pics of the walks you take and I'm envious of the Bluebird pics you are getting.

Rose, I am feeling better today just very tired. The last 2 weeks I thouhgt I had the winter blues but I guess I was really sick instead. Got very run down.

I did go for a little walk this morning and got 3 decent shots(lots of bad ones!!) of the Bluebirds.

Sorry you've been sick too, Nanny. You've got some really nice Bluebird pics, I need to get my lazy hiney out and do a walk around this weekend and see what I can find.

Snowy day out today, and this poor Mourning Dove is trying to warm up.

More nice pics Nanny of the BB's! DH and I both had that awful flu and are still very tired all the time...I thought it was the winter blues also but could be an effect of the flu.

Burn...I really feel for your poor little cold birdies but enjoy your pics just the same especially the Redpolls!

Pelle...I sure hope you are back soon and feeling better. I really do miss you lots!

pelle..............Hope you get well soon. I went to the Hospital yesterday but it was just a check up on some surgery I had last year and every thing looked good and they let me come home. Hope you get home soon.

I'm posting this today because I am officially sick of Winter.
